Everyone thinks their particular movement was the only real one, and the reality is that all youth movements have boiled down to getting fucked up on some particular type of drugs, and having lots of sex. Don't fool yourself into believing there was a higher purpose - it's all about what justification the group uses for abdicating responsibility, and the vast majority always grow out of it.
Coming up after the break, we'll have the weather, and Tom will present his special report, "Are All Politicians Scumbags?" The answer may surprise you. But first, is your computer rotting your brain? You may be dead and not even know it yet.
--------- (I apologize if this is too high concept. I sick, and my head is floaty. It feels right, but right now I have terrible judgement.)
Every version since 4 has the rendering engine as part of the GUI system. The entire browser isn't preloaded, just the core. The UI is a regular application that makes use of system components. It's a rather efficient design that allowed for much nicer UI in general, and has been a positive, overall.
It's also paralleled by KDE with KHTML, and OSX with Webkit.
Let's not revise history too much. IE was a vastly superior browser around the transition out of version 4. Sure, Microsoft used their monopoly position unfairly to take over the market, but at the time, they also provided a much better experience. It wasn't until IE was the clear cut market owner that Microsoft stagnated on the browser, leaving us with the relatively ancient pile of shit we all now love to ignore.
Sorry if you don't like my behavior on the internet. I'm really not here to please you, and I'm happy enough with who I am that I don't get too worried about catty comments from people I don't know.
If you can't handle other people not being what you want them to be, you're going to have one sad fucking life. The best part, to me, is that it's not anyone's problem but yours.
Or, as it's been so aptly put, clean up your own mess before you complain about your neighbor's backyard.
Normally I wouldn't bother replying, but I would like to know who I am astroturfing for, exactly. Is it the company I made fun of, or maybe some ancillary concern?
Figure 30 minutes of your time filling out forms, cutting out UPCs, making photo copies, etc. If you earn $25 an hour, that $12.50 right there.
Wow, you get paid for any time you don't spend filling out rebates?
How does your assertion make sense in any way?
People actually pay for articles like this

This is all about anti-Microsoft masturbatory geekspasms, right? Let the games begin:
Yeah, Winblows security? They haven't reimplemented enough of Unix to be secure yet.
- or - Sure, it's secure - it can't be pwned when the new RSOD feature is active.
Seriously, stop being so fucking sensitive then. Your feelings aren't anyone else's responsibility, and the sooner you realize that, the sooner you can get past your hangups about other people and just deal with things normally.
'Hostile environment' is the biggest load of crap in the English language. No one deserves an easy time of things.
Yeah, that reading comprehension is a real bitch, like using the context of surrounding sentences as a way to understand the meaning of the current sentence.
I hope English isn't your first language, because that post was a clear as anything I've ever read on Slashdot.
Regarding WPA being broken: Are you talking about the dictionary attack possibility? If that's it, then using a good randomized passphrase does the trick nicely. If you mean something else, I couldn't find any reference to it.
I guess it's easier to believe that Nintendo sabotages their own system so they can make money on the second release of it.
I honestly think it's both - and Nintendo isn't the only one to do it. The concept of refining a product isn't exactly an unknown one - and it has a tremendous number of positive impacts, such as better aesthetics, improved profits, and additional sales. In the case of the GBA SP, it even included additional features that made the system noticeably easier to use.
I'm actually surprised people can manage to work up indignation about it. Nintendo isn't forcing anyone to buy it.
Do you know what "BA" and "PTA" stand for here? BA is "Bachelor of Arts", which as everyone knows is basically the modern high school diploma. PTA is "Physical Therapy Assistant". Takeuchi has no credibility.
I love intellectual snobbery.
I hold no degrees at all. Does this mean I know nothing?
Climate change is so much fun to argue about, because people have already concluded everything, so now they just look to support their positions. Anything contradictory is greeted in Pee Wee Herman fashion - fingers in ears, screaming "La la la" over and over.
I have no point, though. I'll post this just to add to the noise.

If not, have you tried using a pencil and paper?
I guess that's a better answer than 'write it yourself.' No, wait, it isn't.
Aww, poor you.

If the reply is about an interesting game, it's "informative", not "insightful".
Just wondering, why isn't 'Interesting' a viable candidate in that instance?

Well, I've shot my wad.
So you're saying we should be niggardly in our use of the word chink? Maybe clean up our language, make it spic and span, so it cracks like a cracker?
Aside from the fact that you're probably trolling, you're also probably a bitch. Too bad.

Your book must be full of interesting crap.

As long as we're all crossing the line of bad taste:
Where did Christa Mcauliffe take her vacation?
All over Florida.
What the hell do you mean descending?
Oh yeah? Then what is my opinion?
Ah, so one lone person on /. (who may or may not be American) reflects on the values of all US residents.
Interesting reflection on your critical thinking skills.

Congratulations! You appear to have mastered the ad hominem attack quite easily, and without any instruction from us. There is hope for you yet!

You set the strawman up beautifully, but you forgot to knock him down. In the future, please finish the invalid rhetorical devices you start.
Thank you,
