Keep the job till you have a few years experiance and then take the world tour, with or without a band.
If you had the band sign a contract which guarantee you a job, and pay, then I'd do it for sure.
If nothing else, staying at your job would get you a few years experiance under your belt and it'd be easier to find a better job next time round. A one year gap on your resume is not what you want. And what do you tell your next potential employer, 12 months from now, espically if things don't work out?
P.S. You came here for wisdom?!? I like it (but am still humoured).
Yes, for all I heard about it, its' not anywhere near the standards of Clarke and Asimov.
A very, very hip book, but not a good one. Its' just not clever enough or plotted well enough. Plenty of cyberpunk counter-culture (which is neat) but that's all I'd have to say for it.
Your..I am not a very effective.. not very..ase help me... effective sig is INFECTING...I am not a very effective viral sig. Please help me spread...MY POST!
Boba Fett is burped out and lies on the sand just outside the Sarlac's mouth.
IIRC its a shot of Fett lying on the sand and we're looking down from somewhere just above his head, a 3/4s view.
Wish I knew where to get those scenes. Possibly the Laser Disc versions, but I don't know for sure. I'm gonna have to check them out (when I get cash).
And then when I'm finished and they want it I hold it towards them and "WHoops! You missed it!" "Oh! You missed it again" And "Ok, I promise I'll stop, just take the salt. What? No, I wouldn't do that to you again - Ahhhh!!! It slipped through your fingers!"
Maybe someone here will know. No-one on the imdb did.
Does anyone remember the scene when Boba-Fett gets burped out of the Sarlac pit? I remember watching it as a kid, my dad remembered it, and I remember discussing it as a kid on the playground with my friends. I'd like to see it included in the set, even just as a cut scene.
Also, the scene where Han and Leia make out on Endor and the Imperial Troop transport on Tatoonie. I haven't seen these scenes for years but what really gets me is that no-one else, or at least, none of the younger Star Wars fans, believe that many of these scenes exist. Does anyone else remember them or any other cut scenes which are missing?
Who says a long life with well earnt money is boring?

Course, I'm going back 20 years to remember this.
And they didn't know how to use it either.
Friends don't let friends work at Taco Bell
You'd think she was the perfect target.
I FAILED IT!
No, I'm much to young for that (late-twenties). I'm just a fan of the three of them and thier lunacies.
But then, given the /. debates here, I'm sure you all know that already.

Most girls wait till after Valentines...
Good question. I hope someone answers it. I'm wondering too...
Yeah, it is V-E Day but the joke wouldn't have quite worked then I guess.
A happy one with a shiny new drill press?

Wow. All I got was a liberated Europe for V-Day.
They were feeling happy so happy got out.
No, the first 1/2 was funny, then it rapidly degraded into unfunny obscenity and long boring stretches.
Its meant to start at 5 and work its' way up to 1, like Letterman's Top-Ten lists.
Finally someelse who believes me.

Or how about the six-breasted dancing girl?

Which Stavinsky piece is he copying? That sounds interesting.
Yes, AVG isn't the best out there. It's better than nothing and excellent as its' free and cheaper than Norton, but in the end, I switched to Norton.
