    The ad is just retarded from the get go.

    Or in other words, perfect for 80% (if not higher) of the population that would hear "fastest wifi" and think "faster internet" regardless of any technical details.

    It has about as much chance as a mosquito on an elephant's back farting changing the speed/direction of the elephant.

    With some of the propulsion methods being worked on for space travel, acceleration is very small, but happens for a very long time (usually with minimal or no on-board fuel use) to make up for it. So in the case of your farting mosquito, it's not a matter so much of how much acceleration is caused by the gaseous vacuation, but how long can the mosquito can sustain it.

    What exactly is "a server" though? A server can be anything from a single processor with a reasonable amount of memory to many multi-proc multi-core beasts with more memory than most people have disk space. Toss in virtualization and does 1 server = 1 physical machine, or 1 server = 1 virtual machine?

    Being an older airline, I'd be surprised if there wasn't one or more large mainframes in the mix as well, something your social networking site probably didn't have.

    I have a friend that works at a barbecue fork company and he said that their forks work reliably well for both iris and retina scans, as well as those tasty cocktail sausages and meatballs in bbq sauce.

  7. If doing nothing and "make it worse" both lead to the same place, then there's no reason not to try something. It's the only chance that you have to attempt to make things better.

  8. This is about doing away with cable cards all together and going with a software solution. Cable companies would provide the content feeds, 3rd parties provide the menus, interface, etc to play the feeds.

  10. The CCI information likely was set to copy freely for the content you recorded. It's up to the cable company to correctly set the flag based on their whim and/or what their retransmission license is from the upstream provider dictates.

    It's no different than most items that are sold from a vending machine or anywhere else where sales tax is already included in the price. Instead of the retailer making $.25 off an air compressor use they make $.235 and the other $.015 gets remitted to the state as part of the 6% state sales tax.

    You simply reinstall GRUB or update Grub and all is right in the world.

    That only works if MSFT hasn't deleted or overwritten the original partitions, which it sounds like it may be doing.

  17. WRT originally was a series of Linksys routers with open source linux-based firmware. This led to a variety of 3rd party firmware that added quite a bit of capabilities that weren't typically found in "consumer" routers at that time. OpenWRT one of those firmwares that has gone on to have versions for many different types of routers and embedded devices. It would be along the lines of pfSense.

    They are being rewarded not fired. Like Debbie Wasserman Schultz has already done, they are probably moving from the DNC to Hillary's campaign

    DWS's position is a "honorary chair of the campaign's 50-state program". She has no responsibilities or voice in the campaign. She was given a desk and told to STFU to limit additional fallout. Once the election is over she'll not be part of the administration nor will she possibly have a senate seat. Not exactly a reward.

    He could also reaffirm the debt. It's not uncommon to reaffirm a mortgage or car loan when filing for Chapter 7. You usually keep the property, continue paying, and everyone goes on their merry way. Now it's probably a little different with that big of a loan, but it's definitely not automatic fraud either.

    Ah I see what happened. If you click here and then find the Digicert link, you apparently get a referral discount, showing the prices I quoted.

    Even without the discount, the price is $449 for 1 year or $331 for a 3 year certificate. That's definitely well under "the cheapest of the EV Certs is $1000 a Year" originally quoted.
