Actually, they did air it last year when they were prepping everyone for the new series. In about a week's time, they showed the original series and then the disaster that was Battlestar 1980. I think that they were showing 4-5 episodes a morning. It showed me a couple of things that I didn't remember as a kid. One, how campy the show was. Two, how short the series was. Three, how early Jane Seymour gets wacked off. Four, no matter how bad BSG was, BS1980 eclipsed it expotentially.

We had the exact same experience. We had very good luck with their workstations and notebooks. I loved my Dell C640. With that, they convinced our boss to try their new servers, switching us from HP/Compaq. That was a big mistake. The reliability was not there, the support was not there, and the enterprise maintenance was not there. Then they tried to get us to try their switch line. We pretty much laughed in their face with that one. However, I did run a pair of Dell PowerApp.BigIP boxes for three years without a single hiccup. They were the best servers/appliances I have ever had to setup and maintain.

I have always maintained that the only reason Veritas exists is to make up for shortcomings in Sun's volume management and file systems.

IBM has had a LVM since the early to mid 90s.

    Linux has one now.

If Sun had bothered to keep up the Jones on these little things, Veritas could possible have never become what they are.

Last I heard, they were going to start offering VXVM and VVM on AIX. My AIX admins did not care. They figured why would they spend the money for the product when they already have a usable system that is supported by the OEM.

I loved Word 5.1. It ran on my Mac SE w/ 4MB of RAM beautifully. It was a very efficient processor. However, I do have to say it was a pain in the butt to do anything complex such as columns. It was then wysiwyg whenever you did a complex action. Newer versions have no problems with that. However, they tend to be resource hogs to say the least.

The other reason it was so great was because Word/Office 6.0 was so horrible. It was one of the worst programs that I have ever seen. My understanding of the whole thing was that it was a port from the Windows version. So, they did a lot of funky things to not have to rewrite parts of it. It was really bad. I rememeber trying to run it off a central server like they recommended... Scary... And then trying to run it off the local machines in a student computing lab... Not fun..

Most of the stuff is fluff stuff that if you read sites like slashdot, you would already know about.
