I went to the one by Dulles a couple of years ago. They were actually having an air show at the time, which made it pretty cool.
One of the things they were doing inside was putting together a UAV so you could see the packaging it came in and how quickly a team could get the thing put together and ready for flight.
The museum is way cool if you have any interest in flight. There are a lot of historic aircraft there including a Blackbird, Rutan's first Cozy, adn like the poster above stated, the Enterprise. The Enterprise was never a fully functional SS, but it is cool to get the proportions of the thing.
Interesting... I have a third party AC adapter that is only two plugs. I noticed that this would start to happen. I never lined up the two. It is really bad when I have my dell on my lap and then I touch the powerbook.
3.2GHz is a pretty minor overclock at this point. Most of Intel's line will hit that. When you get about 3.8, you are pushing it. I believe that there are people getting close to 3.8 on air cooling as well.
I like Office 2007. But, I have had government clients (Office 2000) have issues trying to open documents I have saved in compatibility mode (2000-2003).
Colors are screwy, text can show up in weird places. They finally installed 2007 on a couple of notebooks just to look at the source documents to finish the project. It wasted a lot of time and added a lot of confusion.
The examples used are comparing analog data on tape vs. digital data on cd.
Who backs up all their data on CD/DVDs? I don't know of any enterprise who puts their long term backups on CD/DVDs. Everyone still uses tape. It is just in digital format vs. analog format.
And like other posters have pointed out, there are more serious concerns such as DRM and equipment resources.
And again, like other posters have pointed out, you can make perfect digital copies. You cannot do that with analog.
As far as I know, and I may be wrong, there is no way to specify a page break in html or any of its varients. While I realize that this is a typesetting measure, it is still pretty needed.
I can block everything coming from individuals in UT2004. I usually don't unless it gets really bad because I have to stop what I am doing and then block.
The funny thing is (and I don't play RPGs) is that was the first thing that popped into my head after reading the headline. Different races have different powers. It did not dawn on me that we were talking black vs. white (and why are no other races mentioned in the intro?).
I guess this shows I don't care about race in the games. I just play whichever character gives me the advantage.
I would like to host my own "portal" interally on my network. I would envision this to be a web page which is a collection of feeds and links to other services. Something like my.yahoo.com or personalized google.
between the two models is that in the US, teams always threaten to leave the city.
Many of the contracts are written such that if attendance and profit drops below certain levels, the team is free to shop elsewhere. Also, the city tends to own the stadiums, since they pay for it, not the owner of the team.
Can you imagine Man U moving to Liverpool? Or Arsenal moving to Manchester to take their place?
It happened in the NFL several years ago when one of the oldest franchises literally snuck out of the city and moved from Cleveland to Baltimore.

I agree about the EULA.. Every piece of softare has it.
However, I dont' think that it will be an upgrade. I don't believe that the retail version of Tiger (for PPC) is an upgrade. But, I am still on Panther, so I don't know for sure.
I agree. I was wondering what the hell I was reading there. The whole point of what he is doing is to allow say Microsoft to encode their files such that it is native to the iPod format. It is not so you can pull iTunes songs off.
I believe that this is what real did several years ago without much success.
Yeah, but those projects have got to be miniscule when you compare them to all of the opensource C, C++, java, perl, php, python, ruby, language du jour that is out there... I have got to think less than 1%. Hell, I just checked Freshmeat.net and there is no category for software programmed in COBOL. And they even have LISP, REXX, BASIC, and ADA.
Open Source projects that you know are written in COBOL? I don't know of any. It is a lot of legacy code. There is very few new projects being started in COBOL.
Been there as well. Our developers were using a old library that was compliant to the old SMTP RFC, but not that new one.
When we switched firewalls from proxy (which was rewriting the smtp packets under the new RFC) to statefull inspection 5% of our clients has munged up attachments.
It was really odd.
The name of the game is transferring the risk. ;)
and get a reciept saying it had been accepting and what the consultant's responsibilities are in handling the data.

like Alias where the kids are trained to be spies by playing games, etc.
Isn't that pretty much what the books are about?

Maybe it became a bit personal for him which is why he took the case in the first place. Trying to prove something possibly??

I am sure that there will be when Leopard comes out next quarter.

Wouldn't know.. It is slashdotted after 4 comments.
So, in other words, you could say that Archimedes had the first post. :) Sorry, could not resist.
