Nintendo has come out with a portable gaming machine. Nothing new there, but now, while out living my real life, I can play a video game where I live out my real life? I want a game modeled after reality, where in my game, I can see myself playing my game, while looking at myself playing my game. I think I get it now, I'm not real, I'm stuck in an infinite page fault.
What we need to do is fight fire with fire. For instance, I should take out a patent on ugly, then sue the holy hell out of Gates and Balmer. At $1 per degree of ugly, I could buy Peru.
Honestly, other than the fact that it's Stallman, it's JUST a car accident. How many of us can say we've never been in one? I certainly feel badly for Mr Bakker, this happens all the time. The fact that RMS was in the car prior to that is just a coincidence. How many other people had been in that car over the course of the weekend? Let's not sit here and talk about how close he came to possible tragedy, instead let's send our best wishes and hopes to the other victims in the accident that are still alive. If there's anyone able to appreciate how we feel, these two guys are at the top of the list.
Seems like too little too late for me and radio. After the corporate buy-outs (Clear Channel, I'm looking at you) the blandification of radio pretty much turned me off from turing radio on. If I could find a station I wanted to listen to, it would probably not entice me to buy another radio to listen to it. If this product had been around 5 years ago, it would have been the latest and greatest. As it is, it's just the lastest. The tech behind it is cool, and it seems like a great product. Commercial free radio would be great, but these days it seems like the songs are the breaks in between the commercials, and not the other way around. Alas radio, you've died at the hands of top 40, and the funeral march will be performed by top selling artists. You sure do look nice in that beige suit though.
Steve Jobs wasn't the only one to pirate PARC, *cough, Gates* remember, Xerox corporate wanted nothing to do with what was coming out of PARC at the time, and the tech was going to be shelved. So I guess making affordable ethernet common, and developing a GUI that could be used by anyone on a relatively affordable machine are minor achievements. And yeah, the work he did with NeXT was a mere hiccup in the road towards 100% windows market share, but remember, if it hadn't been Steve Jobs doing it, someone else would have come along for you to hate. And if nothing else, in the days when it was Apple vs Mac divisions in Apple, what else could has Jobs done? How about single handedly driving up the price of Tums?
Does anyone remember the rumors a few months ago of Microsoft buying out Google? Perhaps this is a plot to drive users away from Hotmail straight into the arms of Gmail. Secret agents working at MS for Google? Or perhaps it's so MS can force Google to do the developement work out of house, work out all the bugs and issues, then when Gmail is out of beta, snap up every outstanding share of Google at any price.
I wonder if it would be possible to change the temperature at which it re-liquifies, and if it becomes harder or more dense at higher temperatures. Seems like if that were the case, it would make for a good tiling material for the skin of a space shuttle
Well, I ordered the free cd's. My line of thinking is that every other disto I've ever downloaded, I've managed to completely chow up the disks on my desk or cd wallet or wherever. The more backups I have the better off I'll be. After all, if I'm going to have a couple hundred extra cd's kicking around, better linux than AOL.Who knows, maybe I'll even like the distro. What's it called again?
With the Japanese section added to the station, will it be given a giant aluminum wing, huge Type R stickers, 22 inch Sprewells, and a body kit that puts it in an orbit so low, it knocks over your chimney?
So how soon is it going to be before I can have my car decked out in verizon signs for an insurance discount? After all, they'll be able to track my via my cell phone.
perhaps the reason that apple went along with this is that they've finally maxed out their assembly lines, and the HiPod will be able to take up the slack. Considering the rapid growth of sales for apple, christmas season is likely to burn out their stock rapidly. If these are truly clones, made by HP under license, they should be able to take up the slack.
I wouldn't have called it shorthorn. I never would have even thought of it, but now that I've heard it, it won't leave me alone. I read longhorn, I think shorthorn. I think a star is stillborn...
each mission, you get to save the princess

is that if Ralph Nader tries to go this route, Bush and Kerry will join together in a DOS attack on Nader.

The poll has been taken offline temporarily for a period of "scheduled maintenance" whoops...
I'll save my soul for when I register for admission to hell

Sounds like someone's been spelunking the depths of the US national debt.

I only wish I could get GTA: San Andreas to go... so cool... want it so much... that would be enough to make me break down and buy a psp
I'm holding off until they come out with a hat that's got a built in subwoofer

Urinal cakes. Think about how bad a urinal would smell without them...

as long as a new Leisure Suit Larry hits the market. In HD. And can I get some popcorn?

I'm sure they just need to throw more coders at the problem, after all, it's all in how many employees you have, right? Just get more of them.
Now when can I get one in my DeLorean?
