    these patches were already sent to the MPlayer project.
    but were rejected for various reasons.

    the coreavc codec is still faster than ffmpeg's ffh264 decoder. ffdshow has a multithreaded ffh264, but it was rejected by ffmpeg developers.

    ffmpeg has a GSoC project for multithreaded decoding of most codecs.

    openoffice is a microsoft office competitor. you cant run ms office 2006 on old hardware either.

    mike melanson, the vlc developer and now linux flash plugin developer, has created a wiki page with what formats youtube supports...

    also you can create flash video using ffmpeg and mencoder
    and play it in vlc and mplayer (both flash1 and flash9/vp6 are supported).

    gnash will soon be able to play such videos embedded in youtube....

    or the windows media player package also includes many/all of the codecs. altho you may need windows to extract the dlls from the setup.exe

    yes, you can stream wmv over rtsp, but its still X-perimental (and no specs) with X-MS-ASF content types, which live555.com and mplayer and vlc and xine currently cant handle :(

    you should see the coins, bullets (new and spent), jewlery, and all manner of things wind up in there.

    my friend works at a grocery store and its always a race after someone dumps a lifetime collection of coins in there to grab the 'rejected' coins.

    most people just throw out the rejected coins in the trashbasket too...

    europe, japan, south korea and other countries seem to have little problems providing 10/100mbps to end users for cheap flat rates.

    ffmpeg and mplayer cvs is down (and mailing lists, both are hosted on mphq1)... operations are in motion to switch cvs to svn (on mphq2 box). the admin of mphq1 is not in the area of said box and is not contactable atm.

    i never shop at wallmart. and i encourage others to do the same. all i have to do is point to walmart's history against unions, women, minimum wage, benefits for workers, and even the companies they bankrupt (like vlassic pickels!)

    also, i buy gold toe socks, but they wear out at the balls of my feet. and the 'gold toe' part wears away after a few washings and leaves gold lint balls all over my laundry.

    any tips for a better quality sock?

    also opera claims to be the fastest web browser ever. and it does not support all the rootkits that IE does. http://www.opera.com/ at 3.5 mb and free, its smaller and faster than firefox on my p233.
