Trawling through the source of a page to find the URL can be a pain sometimes though.

A plugin to disable this would be a really nice idea.

I was having my car fixed last week and used the free internet access available to fill the time.

As they only had IE on the machine (the only icon on the start menu) I had to use it.

I went to Wired.com and was amazingly pissed to see this stupid great PDA appear over the text I was reading.

It had an "X" to make it go away, but I came home and kissed the AdBlock text in my Firefox status bar as soon I could.

I recently changed to an SE T630. The sound quality whupped the Nokia straight out, and the BlueTooth was far superior. My Nokia 6600 is now basically a camera and storage device, with the memory card.

On the downside, the T630 has a smaller screen and doesn't support many formats.

When cleaning a PC I tend to use Spybot, AdAware, Startup.exe (don't know where this comes from) and Hijack this.

I'm sure if you have a read through the rest of the comments you will find some other useful stuff, but these four are golden. Especially if you have a legit copy of AdAware Pro with AdWatch in.
AdWatch can cause confusion for (l)users, being another box that pops up for them to think about, but on your system it is the canine's testicles.

Firefox Extensions is the place for you. I'm presuming you have actually noticed that middle-clicking links makes them open in tabs instead of their requested target?

The two things you asked for are:
    1) Tab Links (possibly Single Window, but this may be overkill).
    2) Session Saver.

There are many more extensions there, so have a cruise round sometime and see what is on offer. Some of them, like AdBlock and FlashClick make browsing the web such a nice experience.

FM broadcasts are horrible when compared to the AAC streams from XM

This may be true, but they are also the next best thing to legal. They don't have any DRM and they are easily listenable in portable MP3 players and on phones with music capability.

This product could totally kill the RIAA by flooding the net with legally (or almost) recorded music that the average listener will be happy with.

The thing that worries me is that DAB will have a DRM broadcast flag in it and that the RIAA will (economically) insist on all AM/FM radio stations switching over to Digital to stop radio recording.
