    Sun has always been the big boys in the High End stuff. As the prices of Processor drop and the power of them increase. They see that "Low end" equipment is being used alot of time where their "High End" equipment shuold have been used. I do not see this as a suprise let just hope they plat fair.

    That is not the problem. These are promised that they can get thier greencard if they come here. Alot of the H1B visa holders are trick into coming here by empty promises. Some are pais very well while others are paid about half of their American counter parts. I know this because I have friends on the H1B visa.

    Everything should be taken with a grain of salt. Most poll systems have no safety checks. Votes could come from by anyone anywhere. I do not see that this is should be an issue, problem or concern. This is the internet we should take everything with a grain of salt.

    As any boom in a particular sector is great. We need to understand there is a time when it is going to end. The question is when is the Great IT race going end? I do not see happening in another 10-20 years. I could be wrong. I myself like to always have a Plan B something I can fall back on if something else drys up. For your own sake get a Plan B maybe even a C and D. It allows the peace of mind to not worry about what the future might bring.

    If a company is given a software patent he should only hold for at most 3 years I think is somewhat fair. As someone stated before patents can help protect the money invested in creating the software. Since software changes so much all the time and usefulness of thing can quickly vanish. I think that is a fair amount of time.

    Redhat grow slowly but stil has a good Market Share in the US. This also leaves room for competion. Which is a good thing if one company controls the market then that company that can lean to abuse (Microsoft) I am glad to see this study out. It show linux is heading the right direction.

    I hope at least they would require so type of degree in CS for the judges. What would the requirement be for the judges that they are Office Certified? Or will they have a team of experts with a head Judge controling them? THis has alot of merit if it is done right.

    Personaly after a year of using perl I love it. It is a great language. I can rip apart text in no time. It allows me to things that would have taken longer in a lower language. This will hopefully just be a better perl than the last one.
