    Our English teacher showed us Pulp Fiction too, in 11th grade. Recently we saw Requiem For A Dream. I don't see a problem, then again this is in Europe (Belgium) where there is a different mentality than in the US.

    So I'm not as old as the usual /.'er but man I was happy when my dad brought a shiny 286 home. Packed with games :). It was running dos 5.0 and had a pacman-clone called CD-Man (anybody remember that game?).

    I was real happy when I got dos 6.22

    I'm running linux-2.6.0-mm1 now, and have never understood why on earth I was so happy to get dos 6.22.

    Curse you dos.

    WEP sucks. It does.

    If you want to use 802.1x you need to setup a RADIUS server aswell. That may be holding them back. Ofcourse, WEP is better than nothing I suppose :)

    These are mini-itx, they kick ass! The C3 outputs like 12 watts while an athlon xp outputs around 74 watts... VIA is the way to go for a PVR.

    I'd advise to check out Transmeta too, though I don't know a lot about their CPU's.

    And Hemoglobin contains a Fe atom so that it can bind with O2, this allows red blood cells to transport a lot more oxygen. So the downside to this would be the same as CO-poisoning (the Fe binds with the CO, not with O. This binding lasts a long time, you die...).

    I have always been an AMD fan, and have never bought an Intel cpu in my life. Today I am glad that I didn't give those Intel ***** my money:

    I got an MCE error ("Bank 2: 940040000000017a") on my linux box today, I want to look it up, but I have to subscribe to their online support thingy (http://idl.books24x7.com/toc.asp?bookid=6290)... Fine, I go ahead but it turns out that in the 'trial' subscribtion they replace all valuable info with "xxxxxx". GRRR that gets under my skin!

    And did you know AMD is sending free amd64 arch manuals (4 nice books) freely to anyone in US and Canada? Did you?

    Yep that's what I meant, those are three seperate news stories, if it was just one saying "Prescott is 64bit and runs at 5-7ghz with multicore etc..." I wouldn't have complained.

    Well, good point about the 5 years down the line, but I still think this is just marketing trying to take away the attention that amd64 has received lately.
