Lineage brought new life to a couple devices for me. It isn't perfect but their site offers decent walkthroughs for both devices I tried (Amazon FireHD and Nexus 6.)
It seems like what really got him suspended was the racist undertones in the letter he wrote. Such gems as "I myself am tired of having to pay my own extremely overpriced tuition to make up for minorities not paying theirs." and "In fact, 3 out of 3 students just in my class that are "minorities" are planning on returning to Africa and all 3 are getting a free education ON MY DOLLAR. I bet the staff here is wondering how a swastika ended up in a bathroom."
My gut tells me that combined with wanting to carry a hand gun led to just to the concern of the administration.
Not only that, but the complete album actually leaked sometime in the last 2 days. Aie! Avast! Torrents!
The whole Year Zero marketing campaign has been stuff like this, with lots of fake websites and other Alternate Reality Game stuff, including phone numbers listed on websites with recordings of album related phone calls and stuff. The songs found have been all over the internet, and it was assumed that it was part of the game to post them and talk about it.
For the actual album, I heard it at a Minneapolis pre-release event, and it's alright. Too much electronic noise for my tastes on half the tracks, but that's what you get with NIN.
What i would like is some kind of unified interface for communication.
I was thinking about this while in the shower the other day.
It would be pretty nice (probably not to privacy zealots who don't allow cookies and such) to have one account which routs all forms of communication to you.
For example, instead of giving each person or organization that needs to send you mail your current address you just give them a meta-address and the mail gets routed to you whenever you change your physical address.
And you could have nifty features like aliases that are opaque to the sender, blacklisting, setting up certain media to trigger other media..
That's all i can think of at the moment. And we will call this new technology, Electronic Mail!
Move a large sum of money into your least favorite neighbor's bank account. They'll figure it out real quick. If the record keeping is as bad as you claim they will never figure out who did it, plus your loud obnoxious neighbor gets to move into a new apartment courtesy of your local government institution.
To actually correct it? Wait for someone else to steal a bunch of money, it's bound to happen sooner or later. Problems don't get fixed unless it's obvious more money will be saved by fixing it than letting it stay.

I had a friend that took a Unix class, and his teacher introduced vi as "very intuitive"
He was the only one that laughed. Pretty sure he earned an 'A' grade right there.
Maybe this is too obvious, but why not STEAL sealand? The Pirate Bay sounds like the perfect group to do so. If they are an independant state, UK law enforcement won't do a thing about it. I think the whole matter is hilarious to begin with, and being taken over by a group of Swedes trying to get in touch with their Viking roots would be the most amazing thing ever.
Would the current owners mount a physical defense, or would they just whine about it in International Courts? Just get a couple boats that can make the 8 mile trip, load up with tough acting college kids with guns and a couple people that know what they are doing, and just storm the platform. The media would eat it up and Pirate Bay gets an actual Pirate Bay.
I'd probably go myself this summer, who needs internships when a summer of swashbuckling adventure and romance aboard a stationary platform in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do but stand around looking intimidating to prevent someone else from doing the same thing. Way better than maybe getting a simple project and being the coffee boy.
I will confirm that girls will play Guitar Hero with you. It's like DDR in that it is so different from a traditional game that a different crowd appreciates it. These are girls that don't traditionally like games, though we got one to jump on Halo with us a couple times. She then discovered rugby players and alcohol and doesn't associate with us anymore, so say what you will about that. Yay freshman girls!
In the developed sections, we (the women, that is) take pills that allow us to have unlimited sex without wanton reproduction.
Yes, you (women) are miracles of brainpower, able to protect yourselves from all horrors of childbirth, and yet you post to slashdot that you are 1) female and 2) at least moderately interested in Unlimited Sex.
I think this comment makes you officially old. That fits in fine on slashdot, but much as your parents probably thought (Prince/Jimi Hendrix/The Beatles/Elvis) was just noise, that is where you are. Just be aware of it before you judge.
Something no one seems to mention, there's an actual battery meter in the wiimotes, but you can only access it through the console display itself. Pretty accurate so far.
If the console is off, push any button except power on the Wiimote and the LEDs on the bottom will light up to show you the percentage of power left. Took me forever to realise it too.
I've charged my cheap 1800 mAh batteries (15 bucks for 4 with a charger) twice since launch, but all my friends have been over to Wii Sports things up quite a few times. I might invest in some 2500+ ones once Wiimotes are actually in stores consistantly.
So far, I've hit a table with the Wiimote, my son hit the light in the basement (on the ceiling) and my wife put a dent in the roof. I've never had so much fun breaking shit. AND - not a scratch on the Wiimote.
Heh, try it in a dorm room. Standing as far away as possible, I end up 6 inches from the screen while bowling. One was scratched when it the bottom edge of a bunk while in a full backswing. I will be getting Zelda and probably Madden tommorow after my Calc test.
Young Adults aren't exactly known for their decision making skills. At least this decision didn't involve personal interactions with Security or Police.
Just hanging out with fellow Nerds for a night is worth it to me. A few people in line weren't there to buy, just to hang out with their friends that were. The Wii is an added bonus.
I bought a Wii at launch at 8 am at a local Target. I got there around 1 am, and was 10th in line. The store had said they had 20-30 units earlier that day, but refused to give a full count. We played some frisbee, security yelled at a couple high school kids for shopping cart jousting, Mario Kart DS was played until everyones hands were nearly frozen off (It was around 15 degrees F) and then everyone sat around until 7:30, when they handed out tickets and popcorn and soda (nothing like a cold diet coke after 7 hours in th e cold. They didn't have enough for everyone in the line, but a bunch of people had gotten there around 7 am so they weren't that dissapointed. Bought my unit and a Wiimote + Nunchuck, I'm going to leech Zelda off of one of the 3 people I know that bought it in a couple weeks. I was waiting for more reviews of games, I might actually buy Madden 07 (first madden game in 6 years, finally changed enough to justify it.)
Wii Bowling so far has been the most popular Wii Sport, with Boxing/Golf also being played often. Bowling's Power Shot training mode, where an additional row of pins is added each frame, leading to a final frame of 91 pins, has been played a lot.
First system I've gotten on Opening Day, thus far I think it was worth it.
It's like saying you could go out dancing, so why play Dance Dance revolution? It's fun for completely different reasons then actually dancing. The same thing applies to Guitar Hero, it's almost completely different from actually playing guitar, but it's still fun for some people.
Don't do it. As much as you may hate doing Windows Tech Support, you'll get ten times the phone calls if you do this. As opposed to just occasionally breaking, everything is broken now in their minds. The first time they get a word document that OpenOffice can't open, the first time they can't hook up their iPod, if they buy a new printer that doesn't work when they put in the driver cd.
If you don't want to spend the next 6 months troubleshooting linux problems and then reinstalling windows, don't do this. Most of them will probably buy a new computer and never ask you for computer help again. If that's what you want, fine, but it sounds like you are trying to be helpful here, and that is not the way to do it.
The reason you never wait too long is that people are called away from stocking shelves by the head cashier whenever the lines start to get long. Most people out on the floor will have walkie talkies, and will scurry up to the front to relieve the lines. The automated voice will slowly drive you insane though. Keep an ear out for "Additional Cashiers to the Front Lanes," you'll hear it a lot on busy weekends. That's why it can be hard to find staff to help you when it's busy, because most of the staff is up front as backup.
As far as I know regular Targets have no plans to go to self checkout. Target shoots for being an "upscale" retail environment and self checkout doesn't really do that.
I do like the auto credit card thing. Saves me some work of swiping stuff, which works about 95% of the time.
One other really cool thing we've done lately at my Target is have long pieces of tape with the target logo printed on a strip of paper in the center. It's taped to large packages of toilet paper to avoid the need to use both hands to carry it without wasting a big bag just on that. Instant handle. Lots of people have commented what a good idea it is, even though it's very simple.

I have with a similar setup to yours, anything on 2.4Ghz is too noisy in my apartment building, it is great but not flawless on 5Ghz N
Maybe we can build things up again someday

I doubt you'd sell many Nano-Pump (tm) enlargement kits. It's all in the name, even in the future.
