eBay, Web Design, Build computers, and recently, re-sell web space. Individually, not very consistant, but together, I get enough play money to afford my (expensive) gadgets.
Hmm, when I can throw together a Dell for $200 with a 2.8ghz processor and slap in a stick of ram and Geforce 6800 for $350 more, I don't think the price/performance is anywhere near comparable. When I can get a last-gen Mac for $500, then I'm game. Also, the only pain in the neck I've had around the office is supporting iBooks and G4s. Seems like all the Windows and Linux boxes play nice.
For me, this is good news. The FX5900 and 9800 are good cardsm but I just wasn't blown away by them. I'd rather wait to spend my money on something that can really knock my socks off, rather than eek by with 40 or 50 fps on the latest games.
I think the delay will allow the hardware to catch up for once.
