  1. I call bullshit on 4 Linux Distros Compared To Win XP, Mac OS X · · Score: 1

First off, this is not a troll. I really do appreciate Linux and all of the variants. However there is no way that Linux can be better than OS X. Take a look at the progression that OS X has made since 2001... and compare that with Linux. There is no comparison. Seriously, this is not a troll, but just a casual observation.

Most weather systems are located in the troposphere which is less than 30ft. Not many clouds are located are such high except cirrus which do not carry electrical charges.

  5. National Data Buoy Center on Coast Guard to Track Ships Using Buoys · · Score: 2, Interesting

This is great. I use buoy data all the time as it provides sea surface temperatures/ dewpoint information and is useful in meteorology.

I live in Houston. Its flat, its trafficky, humid, the picture perfect example of urban sprawl with no zoning plans (i.e. porn-shop-next-to-a-church-next-to-a-liquor-store) .

Lets face it. Texas is mostly not an attractive state. Maybe west Texas is a bit more interesting but it is loaded with scary folk. At least Houstonians don't really represent a "Texan".

  7. DP 2.5 G5 6800 Nvidia and UT 2004 on Apple Offers Mac OS X 10.3.7 Update · · Score: 4, Informative

I just updated to 10.3.7. I did run Cinebench but I don't think that is an accurate method of bench testing.

I ran UT 2004 on my DP 2.5 G5 w/ 6800 Nvidia. WOW. Its like playing on "slomo 2" without using the cheat. Much faster. FPS averaging around 110 with everthing turned on to max.

Ah, this is where I like to kick my feet up and tilt the chair further back.

As a mac and linux user, I don't have to worry about this. The PC/Windows scenario will eventually be the death of its self.

I wonder what kind of storage space they are using. If they are hi resolution, I would imagine that they are .tiff filetypes and are quiet heafty in file size.

Also, if the paintings are scanned, couldn't they later be replicated? I know there is a difference between the look of a paint stroke and a print out, but there will always be some sucker who buys thinking that its authentic.
