Exactly. You get what you pay for. I have a 23" Cinema Display and it is flawles in regarding operation and even asthetic look.

  2. Gods wrath and peoples love for him (still) on Playing God in The Sims 2 · · Score: 5, Insightful

I've noticed something. I live in Oklahoma, land of "christians" and serious godly folk everywhere.

Oklahoma experiences quite a few natural events that can kill, like F5 tornadoes, baseball-sized hail, 100mph straight line winds from thunderstorm outflows, and heat and humidity.

Well anyway, I've noticed that actually when bad things happen (like the aformentioned natural weather events listed above), it seems to increase the attraction towards god here in the red land state.

So honestly, be a mean god in the game. Smite people. This doesn't matter, they will still flock back to you anyway.

  3. Mac version on Doom 3 Demo Available · · Score: 2, Interesting

I really wish they should give more specifics on a mac version. They used a mac to demo Doom 3 way back when for E3, they acknowledged they had a mac version a couple weeks ago that runs... what is the big deal?
I really want to see how Doom 3 performs on my new DP 2.5GHz G5, particularly when I get my Nvidia 6800 Ultra DDL card.

  6. Fine line on Bikes Against Bush Creator Busted · · Score: 4, Insightful

There is a fine line between protest and vandalism. The stuff comes off with water so I don't see how this is effecting anything.

I also have a different attitude in general towards what other people would call vandalism. I've been through the Bronx which has its fair share of "paintings" on walls (most of which is not environmentally friendly like what the biker is using), and I don't call it vandalism but I call it art. Most of these paintings are not banal expression like "fuck you" but rather creative expression and political/social commentary.... much like what Mr. Kinberg is doing.

  7. Brainstorm on Blade Runner Is The Best Sci-Fi Film · · Score: 4, Insightful

  20. Cats landing on their feet on Like A Cat, New Robot Lands On Its Feet · · Score: 4, Informative

This was explained to me in my physics for engineers class...

Cats reposition themselves to land on their feet because they can sense the change in velocity (dv/dt = acceleration). My professor stated this only works for small height values (less than 20 ft), otherwise, the acceleration due to gravity might result in an unpleasant aftermath.

For example, Cox states in its End User Agreement that users cannot download more than 2 gigabytes a day or more than 30 gigabytes a month. Problem is that I don't think this is really implemented.
