dont talk about things you have no idea about. maybe all the (few?) vegetarian meals you have seen are like that, i am vegetarian for long time and the meals that look like meat that i have eaten you can count with the fingers in one hand. nobody dies for the lack of meat, except beings that need it because of the cold (like the esquimos), no enzymes or proteins that are needed for the human being are exclusively found in meat.
how the FU** is it possible that are still morons complainig about the spatial nautilus??? go read something about spatial file managers before trolling, and YES, there are LOTS of people who love it that way and are not in any ways related to the developers.
PS - Win95/NT4 did NOT have a spatial file manager, just a lame attempt to...
Is the LSB only for Linux systems and applications?
No. The spec has been written so it can be readily implemented on top of any UNIX-like operating system, natively or as a compatibility layer. There is also no fundamental reason why it cannot be implemented on other operating systems, although it is likely to be much more work. Note that this philosophy may be one of the reasons why a seemingly "obvious" Linux feature is not part of the specification if it raises needless barriers to implementing the LSB on non-Linux systems.
i dont usually compile anything as i found everything i need in the repositories:) but, when i download software that doesnt need configure && make && make install, i just put it in/opt and make symlinks also. works really well and does not get lost:)
some examples include: skype, blender, realplayer, acrobat reader..
actually.. it is not. despite its being teached in schools and so on, it has lots of "mistakes" which the scientist are not able to explain... but as they dont have any better theories.. we still keep learning the same one.
you wouldnt need to uninstall and reinstall if you had firefox 0.10:)
anyway, it may or may not matter. i guess it depends on each user. if you make your download folder = desktop or = documents, then you may have problems...
having this drivers open is not only for nerds or geeks to be happy. it would probably help the kernel people to include a better support for it.. possibly having it better integrated in the kernel..
nobody forbid them to use it. its their choice, not XFree's.
altough they might have a point... XFree ppl are starting to push a bit to far... i agree with previous opinions: to bad there is not another alternative(one that is ready, i know about fd.o)
agreed.. but that happens more often here in the internet. if you get a magazine or a newspaper there is much crap like here. anyone here can make an article out of something and get it online. I've seen it happening at some other "news" website.. the worst is that we just dont know the truth of some afirmations and if they are biased or not...
my sweet mac os has spellchecking everywhere :P

in soviet russia, privacy comprimises YOU

sudo firefox and then automatic upgrade did the trick for me :)
i just updated my firefox on linux too..
yes.
i guess thats because of the gnome integration..
it sure means something!
its very different to have an exploit in the wild and be able to prevent it in 3 seconds, or waiting 1,2..10 weeks for a fix

hum.. and this is the case with Apache? Its doesnt link directly to any GPL code?
