Seriously, though. If Microsoft was a car, every time you went over a speed bump the radiator would dislodge.
Also you wouldnt be able to open the hood of said M$ car and place the radiator back in the correct spot, as their os is closed source I'd assume their cars would be too....
Awesome. So now we at WPI might actually have a current and low cost linux distro available in our campus bookstore, instead of the 2 year old corel linux distro.
Thank you SuSE + Red Hat.
Dude, you seem to be forgetting that many of the people high up got there due to connections, not due to hard work. The stories about a person working hard and earning their way up only account for a small fraction of the execs up there...most just either got lucky, had connections, or both
I'd love to be a ceo of a company just cuz my dad or my uncle had a favor to do.....but that isnt gonna happen.
I don't upgrade software because I want to...I do it because I have do. Requirements for products by clients do often have to be listened to and our clients needs have to be met. In your friend's case, he's doing fine as he is, so it makes sense not to upgrade. Over here, it's a different story.
My guess is 4-5 years. By that age, the machine will be almost too slow to do lots of stuff. Developers, such as myself, won't be very productive on old machines that take forever to run the newest software development tools.
over here, we've had a network filesharing program for years. Early on stuff like kazaa and other p2p programs were banned, and well, we started using Gnucleus's Lan client. Maybe they should do the same if they already haven't.
No friction in space? What are you talking about? There's not atmosphere as we know it in space, but there still are tons of atoms and other little particles floating around that'll cause friction.....altho there will be significantly less friction in space than in the earth's atmosphere.
I just went to gators website, hit the contact us link at the top, marked the feedback radio button, and sent them this delightful message:
Dear Gator,
In response to the actions your company has taken against some of the most honest companies in the world, all I say is this:
Gator is Spyware, you fuckers. Spyware. Spyware. Spyware
Not adware.
Go ahead, send me whatever threatening replies you want. I just have to speak my mind. That is all.
I've had suse 8.2 running on my machine perfectly fine since i got it at the beginning of summer. no major issues with it, but i must admit i dont use mozilla....i saw the version that came with suse 8.2 was somewhat outdated, so i downloaded mozilla firebird, http://www.mozilla.org/products/firebird/, and have been using that instead. i guess i suggest trying an updated mozilla or even firebird, maybe that'll fix some of your problems.
how about using a web baesed email service that doesnt suck (ass much) such as yahoo

Will they just quit trying to be the assholes they are and realize that they aren't the best and won't be able to dominate in everything?
what next, windows server was written to compete with unix? at least that has a shred of truth to it.
why doesn't darl take on M$ too?

if those batteries can last indefinitely, doesnt that mean they'll never run out of charge?

I've been doing this for a while...I've had my laptop hooked up to my projektor and I've had it cycle through many different pictures.
Why not just switch to Python? It's an awesome language.
I'll stick to quake and counterstrike.
