Opera has had popup blocking for a long time, in the order of years (hit F12, then select refuse popups), tabbed browsing has been in it forever, as well as tons of other goodies.

I say ditch adobe premiere
Save the raw, uncompressed video, and have virtualdub do the compression. Its way more powerful in terms of what it can do.
If you don't know how to use virtualdub, check out this guide. It's a detailed guide on how to convert a dvd to avi, and it has one of the best intros to using virtualdub (i use it to teach newbies how to use virtualdub). Just select the xvid codec instead of divx.
dont you think they would have made sure this is backwards compatible? i mean come on, how many customers are they gonna piss off with this.
i bet this is their corporate motto: " sux 4 u! "
They've cracked passwords to gain access to computer servers and showed that some systems relying on Microsoft Windows lacked up-to-date security patches that should have been downloaded from the Internet.
that's saying these machines should have been patched but weren't, so technically, M$ is correct this time around....
That website you pointed to is a pakistani one....from my experience, Pakistani press and media have never been honest, so i'm hard pressed to believe them this time around. I'll wait until a credible site reports on whether India is building a nuclear attack platform in space before I'll believe it.
Code for win31, win95, win98, nt3.0, nt4.0 and win2k has been out for a long time..... see http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/te xt/source.php and http://www.betatesters.com/pen n/mscode2000.htm for links.
uh.......im no physics major, but i can say that its not high voltage that will kill you, its high amounts of current (amps). thus they were lying to you when they said that.
go ahead and hook up a meter to that. there cant be tooo much current in that all the wires and traces are really thin and thus can't be rated to carry a whole lot of current.
uh, i got somethign similiar too, but i'm skeptical whether or not the increase is actually double.
before, i was able to download at approx 220KB per sec, now its up to 360-380 KB per sec. not exactly double, but quite a big jump nonetheless.
unlike you, i had no intructions saying to disconnect and reconnect my modem, and it doesnt seem to make sense why you'd need to disconnect and reconnect.
Are you sure its your hardware that's the problem and now windows itsself? I've got linux (suse 8.2) running totally stable on my xp 1800, never had a problem.
SCOAX reminds me of SCOX, the old ticker symbol for SCO.
I wonder if they're related......
Microsoft, are you behind this Mac clone too?
They say Asustek is manufacturing the new iBooks, which are set to launch in 2006.
What they didn't say is they're replacing it with "Microsoft's"
I guess becuase of DRM, it really will be their computer.
Can someone explain how this will differ from sites such as suprnova (etc)?
anyone who uses Opera knows that even firefox is bloatware
ClusterKnoppix is pretty cool. Its got all the auto detect hardware features of regular knoppix, and also aautomatically adds itself to the cluster.
it seems like everytime AMD puts pressure on Intel, Intel rushes and screws up in some way, like this. The P3 1.13ghz comes to mind.

what about the intel C/C++ compiler? i've heard it was ridiculously fast compared to the m$ one.
m$ has the inside track because winblows has many undocumented functions that m$ doesnt tell anyone about....aka CHEATING!!!!
....anyone got links to mirrors?

I've found that anandtech.com has been fairly accurate over the years.
what they need to do is to use chips that can do parallel processing
