they also forget that the fuel that feed those engines are fossil fuel. fossil fuel is the product of some crap that stayed under some rocks for million of years. and they also forget that those animals where alive when those crap was around. so the obvious conclusion: those animals feed on the same source as a rolls-royce-something that powered the spitfire!
they ran on fuel (except that at the time it wasn't called fossil fuel, but tasty-live-fuel)! it was nothing but a flinston's airplane!
now, 90% of the users will have the ability to create podcasts in windows with a default instaled apple. An app that probably will only work with windows media player content control enabled systems.
I think that will take apple back to a cult thingy. Of course, only after some appeal on court that will only get effective by the time apple is already dead and M$ can remove the app exactly when it would be expensive to suport.
1. hijack major media corporation with upcoming worm 2. make the word that only an old version is affected. 3. make that media corporation, and lot of its viewers, buys windows XP and stop using 2000. first profit 4. ??? 5. profit, probably.

against that i must side with the troll.
i've noted the use of ubuntu and debian by 7 people. all was installed by them.
ubuntu creates to you a regular user account, and don't even allow root logins. but gives you a full sudo access.
Then, everytime they changed something it popup a window "enter your password"... ok.
then it became so comon place to retype your password that if a malicious bash script tryed to run sudo for something, they'd just type in their password and forget. I bet it.
now the spamers just have to use 'bots' to flag every blog. the noise ration will be so high it will be the same as monitoring every one as it was before the flag feature.
J.T.Titor said that in the future, people will think that in the XXI century people were so clueless about tecnology that they used to belive that giving tiny pieces of eletronical equipament to their dead would make them find the way to ascencion or something.
> What a stupid idea. There's no better way to kill a book than to make it available for anyone to read for free.

>Our slogan is that we are going to give people tools to let them organize the world's information.
And by that he means several remote exploits so everyone can write their own "crawler" to index the world's information
i can see why they posted this "proposal" on /. :)
so, is barman older the whore now?
why? everyone will have the ULTIMATE from winbeta with a hack. after all, it will be the only one that will be able to play non-DRMed media files.
>>one registry key >And rebooting. Don't forget the rebooting. why? changing registry keys already presume you're going to reboot.

yep, i'm that optmistic
> There is nothing intrinsic in Monad that enables these attacks, aside from it being a new language
Yep, and HOW microsoft deal with these kind of "atacks"? they pour some hard coded IFs on the code and launch a service pack!
And since this is a new language, it lacks the hardcoded IFs for security.
Morons.
