Ok, it doesn't work in IE... so when the patch will be released? I mean... it is IE, the exploits HAVE to work. Microsoft should be worried, they are not doing their job properly.
I had used Slackware for several years, since version 3.4. Then I started using GNU/Linux Debian and... GOSH! It is so much easier and practical, mainly when you have to install or update new software.
Slackware really teaches you a lot, since you have to do everything "by hand" (at least it used to be that way). But when you just want to get the system working in order to get your needs done, simplicity is the best way. You don't want to lose several hours configuring and editing files, you just want to use the system. That's why I've chosen Debian, it is easier to mantain and quick to "install and use".
I don't know how would I manage a college lab with 40 slackware boxes. With debian, apt and dselect does all the job for me.
As I said there's a long time since I've used slackware for the last time (it was slackware 7.1 IIRC). I know there are some package managers working around, but how good are they? Are they really reliable or the best way still is the "grab the tarball, untar and compile it" from scratch?
Family Guy has a more subtle and agressive humor that you can't find in Simpsons. They make fun Sex, Racism and Intolerance... it is freaking hilarius.
A driver android developed just to drive your car. Humans will not be able to drive since they are so distractable, you'll have to get a license for your droid. That's where we are going to.
There is a really neat Brazilian Linux Live CD called "Kurumin" (it means "boy" or "young man" in the Tupi language, which is used by some Brazilian indians tribes).
It is based on Knoppix/Debian and it is supported by the Federal Government here in Brazil, being developed at the state university of campinas (http://www.unicamp.br/). It is used at schools and telecenters which supports the Digital Inclusion program. I've tryied it once here at my home and it worked great, it is fully in portuguese language.
Finally, NVIDIA's SLI has been a hot topic here because, as of yet, we haven't seen Linux drivers that support this hot new feature. When we talked to NVIDIA about this we were finally given a time-line which stated that it may be a couple of months still.
If the drivers were free software someone skilled enough would hack the missing features. Isn't about time to nVidia change its mind and release the sources?
According to Einstein, the faster you travel the time goes slower. If you accelerate to 99.9% of the speed of light, inside your "craft" it will pass one day while in Earth (or any other stationary object) ten years have gone by. There is an equation that govern this which is called time dilation. Theoreticaly if you achieve the speed of light the time will stop.
probably the boyfriend in question is a /.er.
do you think this detail would stop /. folks?
What I don't want to see is old people from Korea.
adobe acrobat reader has been out there for a while (at least for 5 or 6 years).
It will not beat IMDb. Maybe Google will try to buy it soon and turn it into GMDb (Google Movie Database).
Isn't /. a game?
Despite that the US the has not signed the Kyoto treaty [yet].

You don't have to pay to use the search engine down there at left corner of the page, give a shot...
Now Windows users have no excuses for not switching to Linux, they can even run they favorite viruses on it!
I know the viruses didn't run great yet, but that's only a matter of time...
