I stopped using it KDE at 2, Gnome at 3, I haven't bothered to use desktop Linux since. I have more than a few servers running Linux though, and Cygwin with bash and openssh on Win 8 is all I need to manage them.
Actually when I was doing hiring for network ops (customer edge of the network though) at a Tier 1 carrier during 2004-2008 CCNA were dime a dozen. HR will still call them, but I had access to all the resumes and I would read them myself, then have interviews with those that I wanted and those that HR wanted. I have them a simple 30 question test, which was graded with -2 for wrong answer, -1 for partially wrong, partially right answer, 0 for no answer, 1 for partial, but correct answer and 2 for complete and correct answer. I 2004/2005 would hire anyone who managed to score 17 or more. In 2008 I was happy with anyone who scored more than 0. I can't tell you how many CCNA holders scored in the negative, because they believed that giving me a wrong answer was better than not giving me one, even after I took good 3 minutes to explain the grading scale. CCNP people on the other hand, realized that the grading scale is actually also a question, albeit a non-technical one. Remember, this was a Tier 1 carrier, so you don't want people who are not sure what they are doing, doing something stupid.
If you are going for Cisco certification, anything lower than CCIE is not really speaking much. Why is my router introducing delay? Can you diagnose that because something is wrong with the multitasking or the ring buffers - that is CCIE material. If you knew it by experience you were golden.
I've been using a E7240 for the past year and half and it is a wonderful machine, I have zero keyboard flexing. I travel with it all the time, in a small vertical messenger bag. I agree on the screen res, but that is because the company didn't spring a measly $60 wholesale for the full 1920x1080 screen which is available. I've good a good I5 in it though. My only other gripe is it does not have a trackpoint and I hate trackpads.
Thieves seeking copper usually arrive with a truck with a big winch and a bug cable drum. This is parked at one manhole where one of the cuts is going to happen, and the other cut happens between 1.5 and 3 miles down. The winch is used to pull the cable from underground and the drum quickly rolls it up. You can hide that in a refrigeration truck. That's how it happens in Eastern Europe at least. Point is, those are somewhat easy to spot.
I guess you are going to say that Obama will become a lifetime president by declaring a martial law and suspending the constitution and elections. At least that is what a rabbi told my last weekend is going to happen.
I guess the infrastructure building is actually getting subcontracted to 2 or 3 larger companies in the area. So their splicer guys kick back each other for overtime hours by walking in and cutting their buddies cables. Oligopoly at its best.
Except we don't have to. In BGP shorter prefixes override longer ones, so ARIN can just name several/17s or something at random out of the/8 blocks and have the companies deal with it.
It's never going to happen obviously.
Considering how Merkel handled Greece, I say she is more dick than most of the other EU politicians.
I don't think you have heard the phrase "A woman with a dick", it is European and does not mean a transgender, but a woman that acts and in most cases succeeds in the man's powerplay
No, time limited should dissolve on itself and each party keeps what they owned before they entered into the marriage, and the property or liability obtained together is shared (e.g. tax).
E.g. hypothetically I have a good friend who is pregnant, but the biological father of the baby is even not allowed into the country. If we tree wish so, I enter into a limited term marriage with her, until the father is allowed to enter the country or until she and the child can go to the father. In the mean time I am a father (a second one) of the child and not merely a legal guardian, so the child has all benefits of a father and married parents.
Explain to me why this should not be allowed?
Why should it be irrelevant for singles? I can adopt a child, or have a child without marriage, even more than one, from more than one partner, who each have more than one partner. So what, why aren't we all given those protections?
And why should they discriminate against me being single? Granting protection to married couples only makes sense if those protections make it easier for procreation. Same-sex couples cannot procreate, so they should be granted no protections. If same-sex couples are being given those protections, I should be legally allowed to marry myself and have them too.
Well, where I live policeman go on their duties in the squad cars alone due to funding restrictions. Which means that when they are needed, they would not act until another officer arrives, which means that they would not interfere in a situation fast enough, or if they do, put their lives on the line unnecessary. I live in a good, boring, Christian and predominantly white neighborhood. God forbid I actually need police - e.g. if the drunkards who drag race every now and then hit something - police are all busy in the more shady areas of town and will take them 15 minutes to come here. No, the solution is not arming ourselves and making a pitchfork army. In the social contract the police keep the citizens safe.
My grandfather was a policeman (in another continent and country), so I may be a little biased, but policeman a people, feed families, care for their children and are generally pretty nice. We should put in place tools to aid them, not to replace them (as with any other professions). We don't want pork for the rich guys, we want jobs for regular people. So yeah, 20 more pairs of feet on the street are 60-80 people having something to eat, a roof over their heads, 20-40 more kids who will be raised in loving families and become good citizens instead of potential criminals. So yeah, 20 extra pair of feet on the street is a no brainer.
What are you talking about.. scale it so one page of letter size is same on screen as physically. 24" can fit two side by side, if it is 16x10 or 4x3, and not the pesky 16x9
I can't see the difference, because my mind is busy seeing all the deblocking artifacts in the crappy low bandwidth steams. But definitely 1080 does have better color repro in shadows.
For s second, actually make it third time today/. front page feels like it is April fools day. May be it is time to lay/. to rest and go to soylentnews?!
Like what... birth rate control? One child per family if enough. The planet and all other intelligent life forms that chose not to destroy it like we do will thank you for it.
I did that while flashing bios chips.. Boot the board with a good chip, extract it while the computer is running, put in the new flash chip, flash it... Had to do it on my gf's computer a few times.
That is just plain ridiculous! Open space offices increase productivity and cooperation. I prefer to work in open space offices, much like most of Europe. I'm not talking hangar like open space, I'm talking a room with 3 to 4 work desks in it, in some rare cases up to 6 people. You will often see people in cubicle farms squatting upon a meeting room, to do just that because it is actually better for productivity, for mood and for you psychological condition.
Not everyone is inside. There are some lizards like me that actually like to be out. I regularly bike or hike with a camelback (a 3L primary and 3L secondary reservoir) at noon-2pm during July and August here in Phoenix. And a small spay bottle of rubbing alcohol. That last one cools you down in a pinch (not to mention for scrapes and minor cuts when riding through the bushes), just have to be careful to only apply to the ends of the extremities - palms and fingers and feet.
The Tube in London is perfect for such type of connections though.

Axway API Gateway Portal (or whatever it is called these days, formerly Vordel) has the portal and the test sandbox built into each instance.

Cameras near the ceiling are not very effective to use for face recognition. Eye level cameras work best.

you miss the point. they weren't playing the game in the first place. their bots were.
Did anyone see that as error-in-chief when they first read that?
