I'm both annoyed with the natural forms and processes are more offensive than murder as well as the stupidity behind an M rating versus an AO rating as well as the stupidity behind stores not even carrying certain things because of the rating.

When it comes to game industry and content ratings, there's nothing but a pile of moronic bullshit that makes absolutely no sense. If you're going to argue about these things though you may as well start with the easiest arguement to make.

BTW, I stopped caring about GTA after Vice City. I find it boring, but I still find everything surrounding political decsions about what's 'appropriate' for the public idiotic. There's no logical structure behind a lot of the policies we have except that certain laws are outdated (and should be changed to reflect what is right today) or some nut case douche bag(s) is/are trying to encroach on the very ideals the U.S. was founded upon.

You fail to point out that we also find bare nipples (attached to the female form) and genitalia offensive. Some moron might forget that and think that sex and violence are now equals in how offensive they are, as long as you don't show nipples.

It's only sexual content that would cause it to be delayed. Remember GTA, running around killing police gets an M rating but a nipple makes it AO.

Remember, in America the idea of taking lives is less offensive than the idea of the nude human body and procreation.

Say you're like me and have a Windows desktop and a Mac laptop but don't feel like moving your desktop around for LAN parties. I like to keep my cables out of sight and organized, so having to deal with them for a very temporary move is rather irritating.

You can play seriously on a non super-powered laptop (besides I've noticed a lot of gaming laptops have overheating issues making them useless or likely to die quickly anyway). For a good framerate on today's GPUs, simply turn off the excess eye candy that has nothing to do with being able to play the game.

Oh and I know plenty of hardcore gamers who think the box that glows out of every hole is stupid and pointless. They're not all interested in 'ricing' their computer.

GuildWars is nice but some of the very 'pros' of it act as cons for many. For example, the in game 'community' lacks. People ditch parties without warning. You'll also never meet other players while you're exploring or in journey. The game plays more like a MOG. You have a glorified lobby (town/cities) to meet in, but after that it's very limited multiplayer. It plays down social interaction more than I'd like.

Some people like that and I understand why, but many MMO players will find it seriously lacking. I do like that I don't have to grind levels and pay a monthly fee though.

What better way to change the American mindset of animated films than to start making really great animated features that are on the same level as the good live action movies. I find that often when people who don't normally watch cartoons see an animated TV series from Japan, their response is, "Wow I didn't know cartoons had stories like this."

It's not as much the fact that it's animated as it is the 'stigma' we've attached to it with the kind of writing our film industry always gives it.

And of course you're an expert Sociologist. If you're basing this off of other guys you've interacted with, it's interesting to note that many people base the way they socialize around social ideals and generalizations to avoid embarrassment. I know I'm not that far into the minority of people with that preference, maybe in people who are willing to outwardly say it but 'top heavy' women are not the preference in all cultures/time periods as you can clearly tell from artwork. I'm in a hurry to post this so I can't grab a resource for you, but I'm pretty sure there were studies that stated what the most attractive ratios were from a biological/scientific standpoint, 'top heavy' was not the ideal choice.

5% is still a pretty low percentage. Also remember that women can wear padded bras and wear other 'enhancing clothing'.

I find game character body designs/physics that are more realistic more attractive than the over-empahsized ones. I always found Laura Croft to be somewhat scary. WOW designs are a little too much too. The 'non-anime' Final Fantasy games have the most attractive female characters in any game I've played. DOA is the most exaggerated game that still manages to have attractive females to me.

I don't know about you but I think real women and real proportions are more attractive than exaggerated ones that 0% to 1% of real women actually have.

My original post was poking fun at the ignorant and small minded nature of the parent post. I know not all extroverts yap too much and spout pointless crap from their mouth. In fact, random pointless conversation is sometimes fun. However it pisses me off when introversion gets treated like some kind of retardation and something that needs 'to be worked on'.
