+1. I'm a Videotron client, and all alternatives either suck (Bell), suck more (Videotron resellers), or have no choice but to suck (TekSavvy uses Bell infrastructures).
Currently, the only service provider with a good signal, less connection drops, and an overall good stability is Videotron. I will be the first to say that our DSL service with Bell is sometimes worse than accessing cellular internet - I kid you not. But aside from Bell (throttling b1tches), Bell resellers (poor them), Videotron (Quebecor obviously wants to push their own agenda) or Videotron resellers (Cogeco comes to mind, Radioactif too), we don't have much of a choice up here.
Did he ask you your opinion on the.net Framework/Stack? I am pretty much against Microsoft as much as anyone, but given the fact that their.net is pretty-much-fkinly-successful, maybe Mono can get some.net programmers to cross the bridge.
Also, Mono TECHNICALLY isn't a Windows infrastructure. It's heavily based on a Microsoft-created execution and "vm" stack (vm not so much, but i disgress), but it's a reimplementation of.net. Therefore, it is NOT a microsoft product. It's more akin to Wine than Windows.
Though, as for the Child Posts, more precisely mfh's, the "conservative" party is the Parti Libéral du Québec. While I WILL agree that it's the one currently managing Quebec, I will also say that Jean Charest, the Prime Minister, is the MOST, and I stress MOST, HATED Prime Minister of Quebec - just after Trudeau. I mean, come ON, it's too obvious he's in league with Quebecor World... and technically, the PLQ is only the PCQ, the Parti Conservateur du Québec. Simple to see: Charest is an EX-Conservative deputee.
As for the artists, while I admit there is a risk that publishers would be protected, there is also a very high probability that artists will be as protected, if not MORE, as the publishers would be. For the simple reason that the Quebec art "scene" is so "small" and "niche" that our products tend to do very well inside Quebec (while doing a hell of a good score in France:D)
The only rights we don't support, I think, are the linguistics. For the simple and nice reason that we're one of the last "bastions", forteresses of French language here in the Americas. Name me a place that's officially bilingual and that has over 80% of french population. PLEASE.
I'm so sorry people, but I beg to differ on the issue of Sonic the Hedgehog 2006. I may not be a hardcore gamer - I do have somewhat of a life - but I still own the 360, the Wii, and all the last-gen consoles, counting the ½last-gen Dreamcast. And I ENJOYED Sonic2006.

Why? It's pretty plain and simple. I played the game without looking back at the old ones. Sure, it doesn't have the same feel. Sure, it demands a little getting used to. Sure, it's not perfect (I did swear at the pitiful memory usage and lagginess that's apparent). Sure, sometimes it feels like a hyperlushed StdXbox game. But come on. It's playable, it's enjoyable, and the game itself is cool.
If you want to piss on a game, at least piss on it relative to the current titles and the current development trend (stories galore). I will not compare a Current-gen game to a 16bit-gen game. Fck, stories weren't even worth implementing back then.
I'd be more enclined to beleive a guy who WANTED to do consoles, than a marketing/PR department who doesn't give a flying fkuc about the console and only cares about the paycheck. And the statistics.
You COULD use Backburner... Doesn't Autodesk bundle it with its latest 3DSMax shipments? And isn't it the "Autodesk De-Facto" networked rendering tool for, for example, 3D Studio Max?
