actually, socializing is a big part of church. there's a guy at the church i attend that teaches a college cs course, he does some pretty interesting stuff. another guy hired me to write a web site.

in a capitalist economy it's very hard for such an altruistic idea as open source (and free software? nothing's free!) to compete with big business.
who are you kidding? avarice is what drives a capitalist economy, and open source software is free (seriously, i haven't paid a cent for any software on my computer). so you have a bunch of greedy people. which do you think they will pay for, expensive software that is easier to use, or free (really) software that gets the job done?

there was a comment up a few that said to desolder the jack, put epoxy between the jack and the board, then resolder the jack. flux wouldn't hurt either, so long as you clean it off when done. wd40 would only work because it's a cleaning agent. have you tried cleaning the jack/plugs?
