    I know it is hard for you to understand, but those assets are really your parents assets until you reach 18. It doesn't matter if you bought it with "your money".

    As you said, your checking account is a joint account since you cannot open a checking account independently if you are a minor.

    I don't understand how this is Big Brother technology. It is a form of ID which is nescessary if you are going to be paying with a credit card or a check that requires an ID.

    I know this. But Dell is also successfully selling computers, and this is their core business. Gateway on the other hand is attempting to change their core business, due to their losing $417 million last year alone.

    For those of you that aren't familiar with the U.S. market, Gateway is practically dead in the computer space. Dell has taken over anything they once had. Gateway is now focusing on selling plasma televisions and home entertainment in a last bid to survive.

    In the real world, Mozilla has about a 3% share of the installed base of browsers. Don't expect that figure to jump any time soon.

    Too bad that slide is factually incorrect. It clains that in order to migrate to .NET you need significant retraining and redevelopment.

    Well um, I am using .NET technologies right now and I don't see it. Still looks like a Windows app to me. Needless to say the "old" Win32 apps still work fine in .NET too.

    Interesting idea, but do you have the right to have access to the work once it has become public domain? I don't believe that the copyright holders are compelled to make the work accessible to you even after it becomes public domain. They simply give up the copyright to the work.

    I doubt that there would be any complaint if you attempted to circumvent DRM to gain access to a work that is in the public domain.
