    Yes they do put nothing on the drive with the FreeDos version. The site says: "FreeDOS(TM) included in the box, ready to install" and " It is provided with Dell n Series systems but is not factory installed."

    It's not that hard to understand the way you show it but if the volume is so low then they shouldn't have to pass the extra cost (of doing less) to the buyer if it in fact exists.

    Give time for a really good endemic/pandemic of a really nasty, contact-dependant communicable bug, and hand-based door handles, sink taps and money are going to look like bad ideas real quickly.

    Some experiments have found that public toilet wash basins are often full of more germs than the actual crapper.

    err yes they do. Haven't used yahoo but Google and copernic update in real time whenever a file is changed. Hence they are a lot better than slocate.

    only administrators can look in other user's "Documents and Settings\%USERNAME%" folder. I can't get the article at the mo so I don't understand how firefox is different since its settings are stored there.

    Just started using it this week. Records stations to MP3 using a schedule. Pretty good and has loads of stations preset like all the bbc ones by show.

    You don't get popups with the links damn it, you get it when you click on the 'Consumer Alert' image on the Citibank site which the links point to.

    This has nothing to do with popup blocking or unwanted popups! It has to do with the content of the window opened from the Consumer Alert image which becomes Secunia text instead of Citibank text.

    Are you sure you actually clicked on the 'Consumer Alert' image on the citibank site? The popup blocker isn't meant to stop it. A popup comes up when you click on the image and 'You are vulnerable, if [it] showed text from Secunia and not from CitiBank.'

    Setting the default run level in inittab, rebooting, installing the nvidia drivers, resetting the runlevel in inittab, rebooting is the method that was referred to me. Not amusing

    er you don't need to reboot to install the nvidia drivers. just type "telinit 3", install nvidia drivers, "telinit 5" and you're done.

    for £60 try : here , got mine about a month ago.

    the linux drivers for the current one are fairly new so require compiling from CVS. I haven't got them sorted yet so still have my old wintv go in my myth box at the moment.
