SP2 USB security works differently...
It disables the access to my workmates usb keychain by simply rebooting his pc, every time he plugs it in.
Wow, now that's advanced security, soon his pc won't boot.
I'm just waiting for the day some bastard goatse's a electronic bill board overlooking a highway... lets hope they're smart enough to keep them "unplugged" from the net.
It could happen to your (net) fridge - good way to keep people away from the fridge tho... we shall call it the goatse diet. Keeping fatties thin.
U G H .
Nobody said it would be easy;)
I gathered getting it deep into the magma would be rather... hard:) Though if you could get it down... it'd be much more preferable to throwing it into space... and ultimately the sun... in my opinion anyway. I'm not all that comfortable about all that nuclear waste flying up in rockets:)
As an Opera user, I was disapointed to find that lack of support for my browser, heck i cant even log in.
However, this wanting POP3 business is just plain rude.
Free service right? They make their money from the non intrusive (if you dont count the fact they're looking at subjective stuff in your email to tailor the ads to you) advertising. We all understand this when we sign up...
So quite frankly expecting pop3, without adverts... and treating them as something like a public service provided by the government is just plain wrong.
It's free to an extent, that extent being what they wish to offer us.
If you don't get what you want, get something else.
Well as far as I am concerned, tough luck to Sierra. I'm sick of these shitty little boxes that games come in these days... and the pdf manual fad.
What would make me buy a boxed game over a download game that may be cheaper?
A nice chunky box, with a nice chunky manual (with INTERESTING content, background story etc... hell a poster might not go astray and hell wouldn't that help them sell more games?
The doom3 figurine sure sold me.
In a time when everything is being miniturised and cost cut... it's interesting to see the retail prices not going down.
I like having a CD but frankly if it's cheaper, easier to get ahold of... I know where I'll be buying HL2.
Publishers just need to get their act together and put something nice in the box:P
Apart from the fact that not everything that is truth exists in a website link that I may be able to post I'll reply - althogh i concede that google.com knows more and less than all of us put together. Perhaps my MS cynacism got the best of me (again), listening to too amny young pups telling me bill is the devil... anyway I have patched my xp with critcal updates on at least 4 seperate instances which have resulted in me being unable to boot afterwards.
Perhaps it's my ineptitude for this certain simple task, perhaps it's my hardware configeration but updates have sometimes burnt my fingers. My friends (perhaps we're a dimwitted lot or perhaps we all buy the same dodgy hardware) have also experienced such updates.
I don't say don't update but what I should have said would go like this...
some people don't update for a few simple reasons:
1. (ignorance) - they live under rocks (it's true) and are unaware of the new virii running about
2. (wouldn't know how) - they have just mastered turning the machine on and emailing their children all by themselves!
3. (burnt fingers) - they tried messing around with this kinda thing once before and made their pc unbootable
4. (lazyness - possibly second to the wouldn't know how group imho anyway) - tommorow will solve all their problems
Me personaly.. I back everything up thats critical before doing so just in case I have one of those "FUD" occurences.
This reminds me of the fact my burger never looks like the one on the menu. Probably because the one in the menu is made of non-edible materials.
I'm sure this kind of behaviour has gone on in the past... why not now?
Just call it the "burger hype effect".

You seem to know your stuff.
... but am curious as to know why?
Now, I'm not pretending to know ANYTHING about nuclear waste, the disposal of or what not... so this might be an incredibly stupid idea...
but I was wondering none the less (as stupid people oft' do)...
What would happen if your simply dropped the said waste into an active volcano?
I assume this wouldn't work

You know, I really don't think I could think of a better target for that one million dollar fine.
A politician on the receiving end of the bad news for once.
I'm not holding my breath tho... but oh boy, that would make my day/month/year... oh yeah.
If only he had to pay GST on that fine, then I'd be totally satisfied.
The beauty of this situation is however, each election need not be more than a coin toss.
Either way we're going to get a shit prime minister, bundled with the obligatory shit party.
Or vote for the donkey, it's less effort... as it seems no vote will raise our quality of government.
This is different from other politicians in Australia... HOW? Excuse me while I go bury my head in the sand again.

PDF != NICE
Curse you adobe.
Well the 5 year graph put a smile on my dial anyway. :P
Clippy has yet to reach it's peak :P
While you're at it you might as well fill the usb plugs with putty (usb disks) and remove the screens (in case anyone has a camera).
Failing that, perhaps we could find a fall guy.
Seriously tho, there will always be a way to get the data off.
Stupid human factor.
Punishment must be dished out... more?

windows updates sometimes create just as much chaos as they attempt to "fix"
you'd think they were drilling holes inside their mighty battleship...
wish they'd drill some bigger ones so they'd sink a bit faster though.
