    To comply with DO-178(A) or (B) regulations, the FAA requires multiple, redundant, independently computed and compared solutions, just like NASA. The FDA allows a cutter to put a single CPU (due to power consumption) toy in a body to increase profit and prolong the poor bastards lingering death.

    Programming computers has always been about solving problems. Computers are machines.
    They move signals and data and return pay checks and nuclear plant control rod down commands.
    Most of my life consists of developing systems that move data and large, dangerous chunks of machinery.
    Some of the best and worst engineers I have worked with had a BS or MS, MA and BA usually caught on.

    We saw a strange object in the sky over Goldendale Wa. (USA) while stargazing from our yard. It seemed to change velocity rapidly and was followed by a biz-jet at est 2000' AGL at full throttle about a minute behind. Multiple sightings were reported in Yakima and Spokane. I always figured it was some spook project.

    It is ironic the companies based in those countries with the "right to roam" laws ( Scotland, The UK ) have purchased large tracts of forest land in the USA and blocked access to that land. When US based companies owned this land, access was openly given. Now, trespassing violations are enforced and they will have you criminally prosecuted.

    It seems that china, or any orbit capable country could bring an end to most space exploration and orbital systems. If the aggressor party put a counter rotating orbital debris field, it could wipe out the geo-synch comms and polar orbit weather/spy birds. Cutting cables with anchors is low tech, and repairable without space suits. --- America was at it's apex when trade with China was banned. Expect poison, filth and fail when you deal with the dark side. They want you to die. They Win.
