    Centurytel operates the same way. The sold and billed for DSL to my rural address that they didn't service. They even had a turn on date. A day before turn on, I received an email saying that, No, DSL is not available in your service area.
    It took flaming hoops to get the deposit and first months fee returned.

    are located in Hillsboro Or. Also located there is a major part of their design group and process science.

    The tax breaks were given to Intel, But in an an attempt by the county and city gov. to not look biased, I presume they extended the breaks to all tech. Of course, The companies are eating the infrastructure for lunch.

    13.5 and .76 DSL for $35.00 from Centurylink in Vancouver Wa.. They approved DSL at my rural house in Goldendale Wa, charged me, then decided it was not technically available. Had to fight to get the charges removed.

    Yes, And Microsoft didn't exist and UNIX replaced CPM when the hardware got mature (protected flat 386) to support that ideal. VMS would be the solution to datacenters and intrusions would be reduced to knocking on doors.
