Also, if you don't write code to something controversial (think encryption and similar technologies) then you won't get into problems so fast. And if some of the code would be copyrighted, then all they have to do is prove it and I'll remove it :)

Exactly, Linux isn't bad, it's just not what _you_ want.

For me it's the exact opposite, every time I work on a Windows machine I just feel restricted, I can't move around as fast, everything takes more time to do... So is Linux now better then Windows? No it isn't, it's different, it is superior at some points, it's inferior at some other points. Neither is perfect, just keep in mind that the world doesn't revolve around you, your opinion is just one of billions ;)

For me the extensions are the only selling point in Firefox, without extensions it's just too simple, Opera beats every part of it. Everyone should know by now that extensions often take a few weeks to get updated. The extension mechanism can be annoying when there's a major update but it's like that so that extension authors are encouraged to test their extensions with new versions.
Why should they take a few weeks to get updated? Firefox 2 has been beta for months and available for a long time in general, why couldn't they modify the extensions _before_ the release? It's not that hard... I do have to agree that FF (yes I know you have to call it Fx but that's just stupid) is a bit bare boned without extensions (or should I say add-ons?) and could have a little more functionality, but I do find FF 2.0 a lot better than 1.5 if it's about features, there are actually a few features that are pretty good. Altough I have to say that I'll never use the automatic spell checker (I hate stuff that gives me red letters without asking for it) since I switch languages too often (also, I'm a happy Opera user). But the tab features are actually pretty good, they've finally copied a few of those nifty possibilities from Opera, makes it a lot better to use :)
