  2. Re:A good start, but too mild. on Obama Reveals Climate Change Plan · · Score: 1

    1) Nonsense. Most people don't ride their bikes from town to town, they just ride them in the town/city, on the well-maintained bike paths. Unless the US has miles of open wilderness between each individual building in a city, yours is a nonsensical argument.

    2) More nonsense. Bike paths quickly encourage a correct etiquette, and a sign every mile or so saying "keep right" or "cycles have priority" helps that immensely. Cyclists have their own system of paths, separate from those of car drivers.

    3) Unless all of the US has these horrific winters, and none of Europe does, again, this is nonsense. Karlsruhe, where the bike was invented, can go from feet of snow in the winter to scorching summers.

I don't know where you're getting your information from, but it sucks.

Nearly. Terrorism is a motive, not an action. Terrorism is the use (or threat) of force in order to politically coerce a people.

Your Sioux example isn't really terrorism, as the motive behind the flooding would not be to scare people, but to divert resources (money). Running people off their land is also not terrorism, as the goal is to destroy a people, which is not coercion but genocide.

Terrorism isn't what someone does, it's why someone does something.

So you are cherry-picking the metrics by which you reach your result. Gotcha. Wonderfully illuminating, and a benefit to all society. It doesn't matter how much fiber the US is rolling out compared to anywhere else - the benefits are not being passed on to the customers, which is what really matters. Infrastructure means squat when it's not being utilized. Prices in the US are high, and the service is terrible. Some geographic areas are improving, but some are getting worse. No legitimate issues? If you make an awesome photo and upload it to some website anonymously with no contact information, then it's public domain. That seems fair enough to me.
