    It is nothing of the sort. It iterates through a list of definitions looking for specific values at specific places and assumes a file which matches those to be of the type identified by the definition. They are (supposedly) chosen to be values which can't be changed without breaking the usage of the file, so editing them renders the file useless for its intended purpose. For example, replacing the first two bytes of a Windows executable will cause it to stop being identified as a Windows executable, but then will also stop it from being a Windows executable, as those two bytes are required for execution.

    You really think they care about you? You are nothing to them. You are a forgotten, dusty file on some server in a closet. No one cares what you write online. There is no "alert script" watching what you say, as you are just too unimportant.

    You seem to be ticking the "egotistical" (as you think you matter to them), "paranoid" (as you think they are out to get you), and "irrational" (as you have no evidence of either of the previous two) boxes yourself... Maybe you worked for the wrong arm of government? :)

    They are not unskilled, and Germany has the best work training programmes in the entire world. You'd know this if your purported expertise was in any way factual.

    Germany's population is getting older. It needs hundreds of thousands of immigrants every year just to maintain it. Hundreds of thousands of people, including a large amount of well-trained (university educated) people can be a gift to Germany if handled correctly. Right now it's the xenophobes who are hurting Germany more.

    Xenophobes are rarely logical. Germany desperately needs hundreds of thousands of immigrants just to support the ageing population, yet this guy seems to think they're hurting him (and his family, etc.). That speaks volumes to just how much of this issue he doesn't understand. Germany - and him and his family - need these immigrants. This is demonstrable fact, and not a surprise to anyone who's spent any time trying to understand what's going on.

    That is abject nonsense. The differences are minor, and pale into insignificance when you consider some people in "EU cultures" are far-left and some far-right, which is surely a far greater difference than just drinking a different kind of tea or dinner.

    Yes, but those facts are completely irrelevant to the discussion at hand. He might have also pointed out just how hot Earth was before it had cooled sufficiently for a crust - it has just as much bearing on human life at the moment as the idiotic, though factual, comments to which I replied.

    The Medieval Warm Period was a heavily localised phenomenon offset by drastic cooling elsewhere. That's why it doesn't figure in global temperatures, as it wasn't global.

    And you should be able to realise that "but they're being dishonest too" does not make your dishonesty fine. The fact the IPCC is not, in reality, being dishonest makes your argument and defence even more pathetic.

    As for your claims about the IPCC's findings, I have no idea. As you have been so tragically wrong on other aspects of this discussion, I dare say I won't take what you say on face value.
