Actually, video poker machines with +100% payout are harder to come by than they used to be. There are actually websites out there where people track which machines have the best payouts. These are professionals who make their living (or a good portion of it) gaming the system.
Some of you are probably asking, "Why the FSCK would they make machines that payout more than they take in???"
It's mostly what the parent said. Most people don't play perfectly and therefore lose money playing. They make the payout system complicated enough so that very few people can actually play well enough to consistently win. Then they pull in the people who think they are good enough, so it works in their favor!
You're right, but he's destroyed with the Worldstone (giant soulstone) at the end of Lord of Destruction. So, arguably, his soulstone is gone, too.
Of course, none of that really matters. Blizzard will do whatever they want with the story. If they want to bring back any or all of the previous bosses, they'll figure something out. I just think something with Tyriel makes the most sense since Angel's aren't supposed to meddle in human affairs and he has most certainly been meddling.
He wasn't killed in D1. The soulstone trapped his essence. Then your idiot hero sticks it in his head and becomes Diablo (aka "The Wanderer") in D2.
Don't know what happens in D3 obviously, but the soulstones are destroyed. My guess is something to do with Tyriel in Heaven. Maybe a war in Heaven leading to a new "Diablo"?
The nVidia people are probably well aware that hogging PhysX to themselves is a stupid idea. Game makers aren't going to go out of their way to support it unless it can be reasonably expected that most gamers will be able to use it. It's a dead fish unless ATi can use it. That doesn't mean they'll just hand it over.
Who the hell spends $1k on a gaming pc? I just put together a gaming machine last week. 2.53 GHz core 2 duo, 8800GT, 2 GB 1066 DDR2 = $350. Processor, video card, and ram are the 3 most important components to a speedy system. Runs everything I throw at it with all the in-game settings maxed.
I think you may be using different units (kbps vs KBps) than he is using.
850 KBps = 6.6 mbps
70 KBps = 560 kbps
I use RR also, and those are both reasonable numbers.
Some people notice boot times because they dual boot, not because they shut down every night. I have to boot into Windows almost every day, so I do notice it. I'm not obsessed with boot times, though. I'm just saying I understand why some people could be.
It wouldn't have to be done during the deballasting procedure, it could be done during transit. Ships don't ballast and deballast very often, usually only when taking on or dropping off cargo and/or fuel.
In regards to your power query, ships generally have decent power generating reserves. The ship I just left (as an electrical engineer) had six 10 MW generators. Only four were online at a time (while underway - only two online in port) while maintenance was performed on the other two. Even then, the four online never came close to max capacity.
That and other devices people have linked to don't support anywhere near the number and diversity of languages the Phraselator does. It may not be the greatest translator ever designed, but it supports a lot more than any other device I've seen: http://www.voxtec.com/phraselator/language_libraries
I don't use them when I have a lot of stuff. However, if I only ran in to grab one or two things, it beats having to wait in line. Especially when the "10 items or less" line has three people who clearly have more than 10 items...
The article mentions the President retired (or will retire) six-months before he planned to. No way to know if this incident had anything to do with it though.
When I was in high school, we had a good number of kids from Mexico due to our being about five miles from the Rio Grande. The vast majority of them were severely under-educated in comparison to the students who grew up in Texas. However, there was this one kid who moved here in the middle of ninth grade. He was very bright and spoke fairly good English. I got the impression that a lot of the material we were learning he already knew. Like most of it was just a review for him. He ended up having the highest GPA in our graduating class, but was officially our Salutatorian because the girl with the second highest GPA complained he hadn't been here "all four years."
Maybe he thinks he got hustled into buying one for a kid in Afghanistan. He wanted one for his kid and paid the extra $200 for it. Now all these other people won't have to buy one for kids in the boonies. Not the most altruistic attitude, but it would explain his complaining...
The newly announced N85 can charge from USB
Then why would they use MM for million? Wouldn't that be 2 thousand, not 1 million?
Vista turned me into a NEWT!

Not as high quality as on the official site, but you take what you can get, eh?
I suspect they'll license it to ATi.

Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you lose your monopoly on fish.

You've been Richrolled!
I'm similar...mid 140's IQ in various IQ tests. Failed classes my senior year and didn't graduate. 114 IQ on this site's test.
No, it's

The great thing about standards is you have so many to choose from!

It's too common. That's one of the criteria for DA's; they have to be somewhat unique and russian roulette deaths are far too common.
