People don't buy iPhones because Apple is cool, they buy iPhones because the iPhone is cool. Your comment doesn't make any sense.
For a huge section of the consumer market, Apple makes the *best* products. People don't spend their money on iPhones because they think Apple is cool, they spend it because they want the product Apple makes
Those products are as good as they are in large part because of Steve Job's persuit of perfection. The guy is sick. Everyone is worried that Apple will lose focus without Jobs (like it did in the past).
When the iPhone was launched, it didn't have 3rd party apps. I don't know what this showcase app you're talking about is/was.
Loopt, Facebook, etc let you check in so your friends can see where you are using the device's GPS, however the only way an app can access the GPS is through the API (otherwise your app won't get accepted to the app store). When the API is called, it asks the user if it wants to let the app use the GPS or not.
This is an important benefit of the app store + approval model that Apple has chosen that I think a lot of the "apple's walled garden" crowd seem to forget.
Everyone knows that flash is CPU intensive. This is news because someone tested it and figured out you can save 33 frigging percent of your battery by disabling it. I would have never guessed that the power savings would be that high, and I'm sure many other's wouldn't have either.
The matchmaking system in SC2 is very good at matching you against someone with the same skill. In fact, it's almost too good.
In SC1, 1 or 2 out of 10 games would be close. The other 8 would be a blowout by one player or the other. In SC2, 9 out of 10 games are close. It can be very exhausting.
I wish they would put a little wander in the matchmaker giving you a wider variety of games (some easy, some hard, some close). You can learn a lot by watching a replay where you get destroyed by a higher level player.
Mod parent up. Facetime only works over wifi - which means they are using some sort of wireless to 802.11(x) router setup. My guess is they are using a satellite broadband provider considering how choppy that facetime video is.
It's a design trade off. Yes it's easier to cause attenuation on an iPhone 4, but the phone definitely get's better reception than my old 3GS. I would not trade back.
Hopefully there is some dielectric coating out there that can be applied to the iPhone 4 1/2s external antenna which makes it less sensitive.
And they will often give two identical cars completely different ratings (Such as the Golf & the Jetta - identical in every way except for the trunk vs hatch).
I die a little bit whenever someone says they based a buying decision on what Consumer Reports says.
There is a ray of hope...
Wrong.
I think you have it 100% backwards. Apple is undervalued based on it's financial performance.

It's that line of thinking that made Flash Video so prevalent on the web. Think about how difficult it is to view video compared to static images.
I guess it depends on who you ask

Time to quit thinking of it as a "phone". It's a hand held computer that happens to have a phone app.
Right - so if I don't want to fuck around with anti-tampers and locked boot loaders, this is all I have to do to root my Nexus One:
Give me a break. This Android fanboyism-holier-than-thou bullshit is getting old. All android phones are locked down just like the iPhone.

You could have just linked to the daringfireball post... or at least cited it :P

They have to give the money back to the shareholders too, that's part of the deal :)
You forgot about the iPad & iPod. There are 120 million iOS devices in the wild. That still doesn't make 1/5th statistic right.
So how is your satisfaction with Flash on Android then?
It is your age. The only reason I have a phone at all is to talk to old people like you :P
Don't tell this guy or this woman.
Yes, there was nothing like playing Doom late and night and hearing the Baron Of Hell's scream over your headphones.
Yes, but that doesn't make for good press!

So at the end of the day, is there really any way to stop SugarCRM from false advertising their application as Open Source?

If you're left handed, wouldn't you hold the phone in your right hand and use your left hand to tap the interface?
But who would let facts get in the way of spewing FUD?
