    What about delphi? Thats still used (and heavily based on pascal). It used a little sporadically, but its still here and there.

    Yep, seen that before in Outback Australia. A spider made its web in the receiver unit of the sat dish. Everything with the dish *looked* ok, until you actually looking into the hole of the receiver.

    Thats not even close to being correct. While in orbit, the craft is completely under the influence of our gravity. Its just that its centrifugal force is equal to gravity and hence keeping it in orbit.

    You obviously dont live in the US. You dont just sue the driver and the car company, but also the owner, your car company, the dealer, the mechanic, the Road Traffic authority, the local council....

    Get a surround sound system and you will get close...


    want to turn up the vocals, turn up the centre channel.
    Want to turn off the vocals, turn down the centre channel.
    Want to turn off the laughs, turn down the surround channel.
    Hate movies where the vocal track is heaps quiet while the music is blearingly loud? well turn up the centre channel..
    Its not perfect, but it sure helps.

    Well, here in Australia, the banks are over charging for their merchant accounts so much that we are all having to pay 3% or so on our credit card purchases. In fact our National Carrier Telsra just announced it for landline phone services...

    They've already tried that. First they had emulators, then they had PC cards that fitted inside your Mac, then they had emulators again, then they had PowerPC's that did both, then emulators again... I think they have emulators atm..

    Quite a few of them do actually use "chips". Instead of re-writing all the firmware, they simply adjust the sensor inputs going into the ecu to adjust the output. Want more fuel? Tell the ecu that there is more air going in.

    No, but your laptop connected to it will be able to. But dont forget, that will most probably be a shared bandwidth between anyone in the area that feels like downloading at the same time as well.

    You think thats bad. I friend who works as a teacher at a school connects her laptop to the novel network and BOFH permissions come in. Right Click on c-drive to view the properties and work out how much free space is on HER drive, auto kick and logout. Open control panel on her laptop, auto kick and logout. Open a command prompt on her laptop: auto logout. Basically anything she needs to do that doesnt involve MS Office cant be done while she's logged into the network.
