That's definatly a modern twist (the joke having existed long before the abomination that is Bud Light). i also dissaprove of this version as it implies most other American beers aren't like that.
This, in fact, is why you should be welcoming the digital switchover. Currently the digital signal is being run at low power as the stations have to put out both signals, the digital signal is able to reach a large proportion of the population at watchable quality with a fraction of the power. Once analogue is switched off the digital can be powered up, everyone that had been able to get analogue will then be able to get digital at good quality.
I've never once heard a single person mention this here in the UK. I did however hear it quite a few times in America (I think coming from me arguing the claim of having no accent).
In my physics course one of the mandatory modules was nuclear and particle physics. For the actual exam we had to know about building nuclear bombs (fission and fussion). Surely one of the things you would think they'd remove if the reason was "oh no terrorism".
The problem in the UK isn't the region encoding (there are many DVD players on sale as being region free, no need even to get a remote unlock code for it) but the BBFC. There would be almost no import market in the UK for foreign discs because retailers can not sell discs that haven't been rated by the BBFC.
While blu-ray itself isn't compatable with DVDs, what's the stop companies making DVD/blu-ray dual drives? We already have DVD drives that can play CDs, DVD drives that burn cdrs, dvd and cd burner drives. DVD technology is beyond cheap and the cost of adding it to a blu-ray drive is negligable.
Yep, I have a large anime dvd collectio (many being special edition versions), I have merchandise, tshirts, manga.
The common factor between all the anime stuff I have? I had always seen the series on fansub.
He said almost ever. Money is a limited resource and even if people wanted to they often won't or can't pay for the amount they can get when downloading. If you compare the music collection of your average non-downloader compared to your average downloader it's an order of magnitude smaller. The downloader wouldn't have purchased that 10-100 times as much music if they hadn't downloaded, they'd have just bought a few of them.

Agreed. We did have a few IT lessons where we loaded up the horrible and ancient Acorn typing tutor but few people really cared that much and most of our time was spent on the custom lessons, with two keys and of 1 charecter length, trying to get WPM > 1000 by guessing the right one and hitting it as it starts.
But when switching between several IMs, IRC, forums and everything else the average web savvy teen does I just started to slowly remember where keys were and one day hit the realisation that I was touchtyping with a reasonable speed and acuracy (though some purists may be horrified at some of the fingers I use for some keys).
Good suggestion. The problem with learning touch typing is it's boring. Some companies like Mavis Beacon go the wrong edutainment approach and make a "game" where just turns your wpm in to a variable on an otherwise boring simulation. TTOTD takes good game and says "why don't we use a keyboard"? And actually becomes fun.
That's what it costs in Japan, where DVDs tend to cost the equivalent of around $40-$50. It'll be priced like a normal movie where it is released so $20-25 for America.
Last year in halls I didn't have enough desk space with my computer and did all my work lying on my stomache on the floor. It was surprisingly comfortable and I've kept it up for the most part since, even though I now have desk space to work.
Currently got a nice patch there to do my revision in.

This builds on the patents I have for a manual "fucking" implimentation. I demand you cease and desist all automated fucking related activities.
Someone needs to go back and redo electronics. V=IR for OHMIC resistors, and even then only upto a point. I'd be very surprised if skin was even close to ohmic.
No because they also realise that they need a monopoly to keep forcing the upgrade cycle, if they pull out of Europe they will leave a massive power vacuum and someone else will take their place, be it Apple, Linux or something new. The huge size of the market will mean lots of resources for development of alternatives and within a few years Microsoft will have not only a competent rival, but one with a large install base, something they don't want to even consider.
Completely agreed. My handwriting has always been messy, very messy, and not amazingly quick either. But I can type at 60 WPM, more than enough to keep up with my lecturers and be able to concentrate on what they mean rather than just what they say. Being on a physics course thoguh means lots and lots of diagrams making the pen invaluable.
Umm, built in FM radio says better function. The Shuffle has no real functions to improve upon, just generic mp3 decoding chips and a simple shuffle function.
Except that Newton says your boat is underwater afterwards.

What kind of idiot thinks they could understand the mind of an omnipotent, omnipresent being?
Falwell, Phelps, Bush...

Nuclear explosions are actually pretty hard to create. A nuclear plant can go into meltdown but wouldn't be able to go boom like that.

Well at least tiny thumb drives don't need displays...
It isn't a non-sequiter when the stated requirement is "Your business is in need of a creative boost".
In which case the candidate believed to be more creative fits the given requirement.
The existance of statistics was an anomalous result and well within acceptable error for reality.

At least it wasn't vulnerable to the black marker method without corrupting the origonal data.

New instalations have SP2 by default.
