    Not true. Those CDs had abridged versions, and sucked. Even 2CD versions didn:t hold the complete text. Why pay for something that isn't complete? Most likely I wouldn't find what I want and go to the library for the bound encyclopedias.

    Sell a COMPLETE version, even w/o movies, interactive pictures, etc, and maybe someone woulda looked. Too late now tho.

    A better example is the middle scroll button. I saw them working in Taiwan mice about 3-4yrs before MS made them. Special drivers so you could scroll in ALL apps. When MS came out with theirs, the scroll only worked in its NEW office and IE programs. They couldn't even retrofit the functionality into its basic windows widgets despite owning the OS.

    How do they have such a big block on the ATM? I saw a little thing on my ATM once, like a flat cover on the card insert, which was usually bevelled.

    1) My PC WAS bundled/pre-installed with both Quicktime and Realplayer

    2) WMP doesn't load on startup. QT and RP do. I would prefer not having them installed in the 1st place. WMP acts like a program. QT and RP act like virii.

    All this talk, when is someone going to hand out punishment for the NS/IE thing? Why are we moving onto insignificant items like WMP already? Did the US end up doing anything to MS or was it all dropped?

    If you read the original properly, you will know that I meant you shouldn't worry yourself to death about what MS may do N years in the future. Nothing to do with instant gratification. I don't know where you got that from. Maybe you should stay at home worrying about what each and every company may do with each and every patent they have in the next 100yrs then instead of GETTING ON WITH YOUR LIFE!

    Or maybe you can do something useful NOW and fix TODAY's problems instead of trying to fix TOMORROW's.

    All this claim of speed, in theory, and I get speeds that wouldn't even max out usb2.

    Linux can't get a unified GUI and set of GUI widgets after all these years in an industry decades old. The PDA has only become popular in the past 5yrs or so. What chance do OSS have in making a competitive, easy to use product with a version deserving of a 1.0 or more?

    Sure, choice is great, freedom is great, blah blah blah. Meanwhile I'm writing Japanese on my PDA and waiting for 4yr old bugs in Mozilla to be fixed.

    Better to have something now that will be broken later, than to have something broken now and forevermore.
