When I move and get my own furniture, what will I get for a TV?
It hadn't crossed my mind at all there'd be a choice of digital or not. They're still selling pure analog TVs right? I may be a computer nerd, but I have no idea what advantages digital is supposed to give me.
Actually, maybe I can skip this mess and not get a TV at all. Better to get my shows online in a timely fashion.
for the brothers and friends that got sold the initial dots. I mean, c'mon, your best friend runs a website that costs maybe $5 a month to host, and wants to charge you a dollar to set a dot color??? Last time I ever lend your my lecture notes!
you're right, but also so many professionally-designed web sites with a fixed width for text blocks somehow ALWAYS display 120% of my browser window width.
That's right, 120% of however wide I've set my my browser window. I try changing font sizes, resizing the window, but it's ALWAYS off the screen unless I shrink the font to like 3pt (which is unreadable btw...)
That's why I think many sites are designed by ignorant graphic designers too stupid to use good design principles.
Sometimes I'm lucky and there's a 1 inch left margin so I can scroll right and the text barely fits. But mostly I can't.
Sometimes I think it's because the designers used IE, but even when I open the page in IE it's still stuffed. Who knows what's wrong?
what about when using tables for tables? That's what I have most difficulty on. Do I set a width in pixels, in %? either way, some info will be fudged when the browser decides one column should be 5chars wide.
Energy doesn't just get created. If ur taking(stealing) energy from my car, I'd want to be compensated. What, next they'll discover powering traffic lights by tapping into the neighboring house's electrical outlet?
The last thing I need is a rack full of EMPTY 128MB USB drives. Surely, readers of./ have PDAs, 512MB+ SD cards, microdrives, or at least a larger USB drive already?
Really, if someone offered me a free 128MB anything, I'd most likely sell it on ebay.
I have a Vaio. Because of that, I will never buy another Sony product, and I have been telling all my friends to stay away from Sony products whenever they ask me for advice. Unless you plan to live in a Sony exclusive world AND never plan to be tech savvy, don't buy any Sony products.

Why is it that a patent - on a physical invention that does wonderful things - is let to expire w/o companies collapsing
while legislators feel copyrights - on say Mickey Mouse - should last forever otherwise nobody would create anymore? Personally I got bored of Mickey Mouse after seeing it for the 5000th time.
When your lovely coworker leeches your portable's treasures (do you have any issues?), you don't actually lose access to them. In fact, you are completely unaffected unless they tell you they have copied your stuff.
Hence maker's reluctance to spend money adding such a useless feature.

Resetting to factory defaults after ten bad password attempts would deprive you of access to your portable's treasures, which is plain stupid since now your lovely coworker has your stuff and you don't.
and a damn lot more money/lawyers/politicians.

Yeh, I know, but when it's this serious, I'd rather IE fail to render some images than to leave the hole open.
Now, if ur saying fixing the bug would cause serious crashes etc, that'd be a more fundamental problem with IE.

Hate to say, $3-4bn is nothing. Look at any western country and their spending. This is 3-4bn shared by the whole EU!
How about writing it with a pen? See how much faster that is c/f dealing with printer jams/ out of ink/blah.

Yeah, you:d think competition laws would prevent such a large buyout...

what i dont get is why MS is doing this at all? what do they see in it for them?
schedules a critical task like launching a robot during a data link switch?? Couldn't wait a minute so the change was complete?

does that mean the grid is relative to the size of the paper, or is it repeated for larger A3 etc?
Unfold all the negatives:
There isn't a game on 360 that you can't play without a hard drive

how exactly did they FORCE him to sell his shares for less than their worth? the market wants to know!
If it's unintended, how on earth do you recover and get immunity?
Did you think MMORPG characters had an immune system?
didn't this happen last year? tho that guy lasted 70 hrs or so.
'Perhaps your solution is biometrics. '
The last thing I want is for someone to break into my house to steal my DVDs and take my thumb as well...

Imagine losing your data when the secret service pulls your fingernails off...
kinda like TV stations in UK and JP broadcasting to everyone and saying everyone with a TV must pay their fees.
"There is a paper loss of more than $400 million (in Taiwan dollars)," the executive said.
"However, with a good outlook for stocks in the second half, there are no plans to sell the shares in the near term."
So do you WANT the shares or not? Sounds like it's not a loss after all.
Personally an employee who has made a $400mill mistake is worth keeping. They're sure to work like a slave from now on.
