Only until 1/1/2008. After that, unless you're a big corporate customer, it's going to be mighty hard to find XP.
Torrent, anyone?
Even now, it's awfully difficult to buy a new PC that DOESN'T have some form of Vista on it - whether you want it or not.
O rly? I've been to a superstore last week and seen some pretty good computers (HP, I think) with Mandriva; and Dell also sells PCs with a choice of RedHat, SuSE, Ubuntu, or even FreeDOS. (although I'm pretty sure that most people who get a PC with FreeDOS immediately pirate Windows)
Is saying that Jewish laws are probably based more in practical guides to avoiding ancient diseases rather than commandments from God anti-Semitic?
Actually, jews tend to take pride in that. Oh, it's not dogma, it's health rules, see, we have a rational faith. Yea right. Too bad those supposed health rules are a load of dogmatic nonsense.
Back in the mid-90s, before mp3s became popular, a small company did a limited run of audio CDs that contained most/all of the games for the Starpath Supercharger Atari 2600 add-on.
Which, converted to pure data, takes less than 200KB. In fact, you can fit pretty much every Atari 2600 game ever made in two or three floppies.
Frankly, one or two buttons, Apple's mouse is terrible. The shape is all wrong, uncomfortable to hold -- unlike their excellent ADB "teardrop" mouse from the pre-iMac days. Ditto about their keyboards!
Everyone I know that has used it has complained about the bloat, or lower performance in games, etc.
Sometimes I wonder, why use computers for gaming at all? With a game console, you get:
- proper game controllers, rather than a clumsy typing device. - software optimized to a specific hardware, rather than having to configure anything. - the use of a TV, which is usually bigger than a computer monitor at a lower cost.
The Mac runs five browsers... Safari [...] Firefox [...] Camino [...] Opera and OmniWeb.
He forgot iCab, Scourge, Seamonkey, SunriseBrowser, Shiira, Amaya, Flock, wKiosk, Lynxlet... what an insensitive clod!

The difference is that nobody has any idea what the difference is between DVD-R and DVD+R.
The difference is very clear, when you think about it. See, one is negative, the other is positive. So you use DVD-R to store emo songs, drama movies, professional images, and war-themed 3D shooters; and use DVD+R to store pop-rock songs, comedies, funny cat pics, and 2D platformers.
No real research on my part, but I think you may be straining the term "land" here. Perhaps you are using it in the manner of "I landed a punch on his jaw" which would fit more with my knowlege of the Soviet moon "landings".
Just check the Wikipedia article on moon landings. The early ones were "hard landings", but later they landed several unmanned probes successfully, and even brought samples back.
What is the historical basis for claiming that NeXT gave rise to the Web browser? Was NCSA Mosaic developed on a NeXT? Or are you referring to an earlier browser?
WorldWideWeb was the world's first web browser and WYSIWYG HTML editor and was introduced on February 26, 1991 by Tim Berners-Lee and ran on the NeXTSTEP platform.
BitingBeaver, is that you?!
But he didn't eat anyone's brain. He just flew to the heavens. That means... Jesus somehow had Jean Grey's powers.

*groans* Then credit Worley Thorne and Ralph Wills, that episode's writers.
And he democratically turned his government into a dictatorship.
