More like, Microsoft tried to hijack Nokia's rabidly loyal fanbase. As it turns out, killing the system they already used (Symbian) and the system they wanted to use (MeeGo) in favor of someone else's unproven new system was not the way to win them over.

  4. AMOLED = low durability on Anticipating Samsung's AMOLED Mixed Reality Headset (windowscentral.com) · · Score: 3, Informative

Sure, AMOLED gives a great picture - at first. But durability is not its strong suit: as the blue diodes degrade much faster than the others, it takes just a couple of years of regular use for a display to become yellowed.

That's not SJW at all. SJW would be Uhura slapping Kirk's face afterwards and telling him to check his straight cis white male privilege.

What homework? I have a Note 2, and I can see the screen is visibly yellowed.

OLED is only "better" if you don't care about durability.

Good tip. But that doesn't always work. And some games lack controller support entirely. In such cases, try AntiMicro.

But with most games on PC now supporting controllers the same as they do on consoles

Sadly, it's often Xinput controllers only, not traditional DirectInput controllers.

Fuck you, Microsoft, I'm NOT buying a goddamn Xbox 360 controller when I already have several perfectly good devices.

The PDF says it will probably cost more than the current models, which go for ~$300 or more. Kind of expensive when you could easily get a modern PC for about the same price. I mean, it's not an absurd price, but definitely niche stuff.

  25. why spend as much if not more on a PC graphics card as a complete game system will cost (Xbox PlayStation...ect)?

Because it's far more powerful, therefore it will perform better: more detailed models, better quality visual effects, higher resolution, and most importantly, smoother framerate! This makes a huge difference in enjoyment.
