    Uh-oh. Mechanical moving parts are a weak point, another thing to possibly go bad. Fuck this anti-bezel madness... I understand that the phone would look more elegant if you could make it "all screen", but if the alternatives are added mechanical complexity or an ugly notch, then both alternatives are worse than what they're trying to replace.

    Still not quite right. Too much white rather than gray, no thick borders on each window, crappy pale scrollbars. Maybe this is a bit better. Or WindowBlinds, but that's commercial.

    Win10's interface is an ugly mess. Let users choose the "classic" interface from Win2k and lots of complaints will vanish.

    A whole lot more Windows users would make the switch if Linux presented with a normal desktop by default instead of whatever Gnome is trying to be

    That's why I tell people to try Mint+Cinnamon, it's the most approachable interface if you're used to Windows 7.

    Since we're talking about laptops, it must be mentioned that some models (not all) in MSI's GT series use mechanical keyboards.

    Also, Cherry is not the only game in town. There's also Matias (Alps-like), Topre (capacitive), Unicomp (buckling springs), and so on.

    we were discussing G vs MS the other day.

    Why either of those? How about: regular laptops with Linux. This way you get a full-featured (not cloud-centric) desktop OS that is not subject to either megacorporation's whims and has a ton of available software.

    These days, the only laptops with a proper keyboard are MSI's GT series. And by proper I mean mechanical.

    A matter of opinion here, but I've always liked Android's stock UI better. Besides, if you want something different, you can just install a launcher. This sort of flexibility is a big plus for Android.

    He denied ever saying such a thing. And to be fair, that was a lot back then. Most 1980s home computers maxed out at 64 KB.

  25. Even if they had different styles, I recall clearly that the media image of them as rivals was extremely common in the early to mid 90s.

    Regardless, MJ was not my favorite pop artist back then either, but Roxette and A-ha.
