It's basically the same story in Canada (and, I suspect, many commonwealth nations) - if the government tables a budget and it's defeated, the country has an immediate election. And since random elections are generally not appreciated by the public, any party seen as "responsible" for the election basically lives or dies on their reason for bringing down the government. Was the ruling party off their rocker? They're probably going to get turfed. Was a minor party just jerking the entire country around for political points? They can expect a massacre at the ballot box. Thus, we too rarely get into situations where the government is in such a tizzy that they can't even pay the bills. So watching the US government throw a hissy-fit that puts the entire country (and much of the global economy) at risk is something very, very strange to watch. I hope they resolve it soon, because playing chicken with a US default isn't something that anyone wants to see.
PS: We're really super jealous of your elected senate up here. Ours is basically a big pit that we throw money into, and all of the PM's buddies get to dive into it like Scrooge McDuck.
Ah crap, I knew this was too phonetic for forum humor. And I hate explaining my own jokes... sucks the life right out of them. But heregoes anyways:
The pun is, if you say "Six See" fast enough, it sort of turns into "Sixy" which sounds a bit like "Sexy" (YMMV based on your accent). So Apple has unintentionally(?) set up the successor to the 5C as an "iPhone Sexy".
In the meantime, I'll show myself out. Tip your waiter and all that.
This was the first movie I tried with DBox (those tilting/vibrating seats) and even though they were extremely pricey tickets, this was the PERFECT movie for it. You felt every step, every punch, and every giant explosion. Really fun ride.
In Win8, right click the corner where the start menu should be. It brings up a short list of really useful settings and admin type stuff, including the control panel.
A cheap hack to boot to the desktop: Simply make the desktop tile the very first (top leftmost) tile and, after you log in, simply tap enter (again) to activate that default tile. Works with any program you frequently use, too, so feel free to put your Firefox or Chrome tile in that position for quick access.
TESO is slated to be using the HeroEngine (the same one that powers TOR) and not the infamous (and crash happy) GameBryo engine that Bethesda used for so long.
Quick! Build giant faraday cages over all the worlds beehives!
Also, another thought; I wonder how well a simple radio tuned to spew out the right frequency of noise would work for pest control. Stuff a few batteries in it, turn it on, and place it next to the hive... would it get rid of the bees (and/or other similar insects) with minimal fuss and insecticides? Should I be running to the nearest patent office?
That should make China and India some pretty extreme countries, no?
Occam's razor might instead pin the weirdness on America, though. And I don't mean that to be insulting in any way, just to point out that that cultural perspectives are a hell of a thing.
Turning off the key with the transmission in drive does not not lock the steering wheel on any vehicle I've ever driven or worked on. Also, brakes still work without vacuum boost (which, by the way, you should still have until you depress and then release the pedal at least once), you just need to press harder.
Let me guess - those dancing angles are doing the tan-go?

Judging by the username, I'm going to go with shrooms.
While we're being nit-picky, an EA-18G is nicknamed 'Growler' and not Hornet, even though they're essentially the same plane with different payloads.
...but only ever on the third try.

...when Apple announces their "6C" new phone... (say it out loud)
The jokes will practically write themselves.
"I, for one..."

You just reminded me of a song
Sadly, Frontalot is probably right... today's secure crypto tends to be tomorrows old and busted.
Median from TFA is 53 years old (Republic of Congo). Didn't see anything on standard deviation, but I don't imagine it's very large.
This isn't necessarily true. You can have a regenerative braking system in essentially any vehicle, electric or not.

I'll see your T-800 and raise you a T-X. Better looking and better armed!
And by "whole bunch" you mean the single argument needed to make it run on one core?

Ah, where I live we don't have front license plates, so the cameras are (obviously) all on the entry-side of the intersection.
Then you have nothing to worry about because your license plate will be buried in someone's radiator and not visible to the camera ;)
Would the good ones use rot26(password);
?
SHODAN? Is that you?
