Front disc brakes and rear drum brakes, most likely. There's nothing seriously wrong with that setup - it's been quite common on smaller, inexpensive vehicles for a long time.
this is the same reason electric cars don't come with solar panels on the roof so you never need to charge them
Actually, I believe the Fisker Karma has an optional solar paneled roof charger... although I doubt you could recoup the cost of that option (in free electricity) over the lifetime of the vehicle.
Interesting choice of words. One of the (few) criticisms that has been be leveled against Jainism is that it has discriminated against women. It generally involves the usual excuses: women are impure during their menstral cycle, women must be clothed or they will give men evil (sexual) thoughts, etc.
So, less evil than slaughtering thousands of non-believers (although another criticism of Jainism is that it practices extreme starvation, occasionally resulting in death), but still shy of that "untainted" mark by my estimates.
As a kitten, my cat was entirely too curious/fearless and once spent about 30 seconds inside a dryer before I figured out that "thump-whump-meow" is not the normal operation of said dryer, and also that my cat was missing. (Fortunately, aside from a slightly warm bum, the faint scent of fabric softener, and an 8-month-long fear of large white appliances, he was fine).
Frankly, 2012 is going to be a tough year to beat, so many spectacular titles came out.
I'm not sure if this is sarcasm or not. Personally, I felt that 2012 was one of the worst years for gaming in recent memory. So i'll just ask the question that was begged: Care to name a few of these spectacular titles? Maybe I missed some of them.
My girlfriend has one of those Acer units with the C-50 and 2GB RAM, and it is a very nice little machine for her needs (taking notes at school). Meanwhile, I picked up an Acer a year earlier with the atom and 1GB RAM, and while it's, erm, usable... for school duties, it's no where near what the C-50 will do. Her machine will happily push a 1080p movie out the HDMI port, while the atom (which doesn't even have HDMI out) chokes horribly just trying to do 720p. If I could find another C-50 or C-60 Acer, I'd gladly hurl my atom machine out the window. The only thing wrong with it is that at 11.6" its impossible to find a properly sized carrying case for it.
There is a huge and important difference between OSX and Linux though. Gamers want to have more control over their systems, and they demand the ability to assemble their own machines. In a practical sense, Mac offers neither but Linux offers both. Gamers hate pre-built systems because they are either gutted of any respectable performance, or they are outrageously marked up. Many gamers would prefer to move towards open software, but the DirectX ecosystem has them by the balls. If Valve can build momentum on the Linux side of things, there will be a greater shift towards Linux than there ever will be towards Mac. It will probably be slow at first, but it does have potential down the road. So I would not judge the motions of one by the other, at least not yet.
Shouldn't these "not-a-student" students be getting tossed out of school after a few semesters (it's two, where I attend) with a 0 GPA? Or are they hopping universities? How would they even get accepted five times?
I get the second and third patents (even if they're blindingly obvious), but that first one....
6,070,068 - In a communication terminal device, the connecting state of a call can certainly and easily be controlled without learning troublesome operating methods which are different depending on the connecting state of a call by providing controller for displaying processing items available to a call a display and controlling the call into the connecting state corresponding to the processing item which is selected and determined by the user's operation of an input unit, the user can control the connecting state of the call by merely selecting the desired processing item.
Suddenly I am very interested. A cheap HTPC/streaming solution would be perfect for my needs. The fact that I could load android games (and emulators!) on it would just be gravy.
1) Grab a couple "Loonies" ($1 coins) and some big bills. 2) Head to the strip club 3) Get shitfaced. Trust me, you'll need the anesthesia. 4) Use your lighter to heat the $1 coin until you can't handle it 5) Throw hot coin at the stripper 6) Repeat 7) Wait patiently for the "surgeon" to take you to his alley, er, office. 8) ??? 9) No teeth!
Option A) was to negotiate with Google (which they did) and accept paying more money and letting Google put their logo somewhere (which they didn't).
Option B) was to to let it ride with no navigation (their contract with Google for just map data still had a year or two left before renewal) and work on their own map/nav system in the meantime, launching it when it was ready or the contract was up.
Option C) was to abandon common sense, drop Google because they are evil, and quickly roll their own "superior" map/nav system on a greatly accelerated timespan. And pray that it's not a horrible, brand-damaging mess. Oops!
I saw the aftermath of a collision between a greyhound bus and a mid-sized SUV the other day. The SUV's front left wheel assembly (tire/wheel/hub, half-axle, knuckle, strut) had been ripped clean off, and the front left corner looked like someone had tried feeding it to a giant wood-chipper. The bus was going to need some new trim, a few dents banged out, and a splash of paint.
People don't seem to realize just how grossly out-classed our little 4-wheeled runabouts are when you pit them against a bus, semi, or other heavy equipment.
The trick with the self parking features is that the driver is still (supposedly) in control by being required to have their foot on the brake the whole time. This way the driver can modulate the speed at which the car moves, and ultimately remain responsible for any accident; this despite the reality that you could pretty much walk away from the car and it would park itself without issue.
Yes they do, you typically have to hold the button for ~3 seconds though.

Well then it's a good thing that I've never seen a car with electric brakes.
Everything in your post is a lie, and the article you linked to is essentially irrelevant to the topic at hand.
Is it due to ignorance, or simply a poor trolling attempt?

Which would be better, I think.

...seriously, what the fuck does that even mean?
That would be $5,069.75 US.
Oh and 1992 called, they want their joke back.
Penn and Teller had a great episode about this on Bull Sh*t.
This one?
It's cute. (And also NSFW without headphones). Doesn't really address the core argument in any way, but it's still a fun demonstration.
Should be a CS job, really. All you need to do is modify the speed-up loop.

How to get a free dental extraction in Canada:
1) Grab a couple "Loonies" ($1 coins) and some big bills.
2) Head to the strip club
3) Get shitfaced. Trust me, you'll need the anesthesia.
4) Use your lighter to heat the $1 coin until you can't handle it

6) Repeat
7) Wait patiently for the "surgeon" to take you to his alley, er, office.
8) ???
9) No teeth!
You put the coins in your pocket - the same place your wallet goes (preferably in different pockets though).

Apple shot themselves in the foot on this.

Canada is a cultural mosaic of nationalities
FTFY. The melting pot (assimilation) approach is America.
We're aboot 35 million now.

It has an LTE chip: http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Nexus%204%20Teardown/11781/3
It's probably a holdover from the Optimus G.
It's not just Bing. They take results from a long list of engines, including their own crawler.
