    it's a 2D barcode, which does not contain any actual bars but rather a low resolution bitmap even at only a 10x10 code you have to guess out of 2^100 possibilities, modern cell phones can output at vastly higher than 10x10.

    it's a new procedure they actually drill wells around the site and freeze a barrier around the oil to be extracted, then they heat inside the ice barrier to liquify the oil and pump it out.

    it's not as cost effective as regular drilling sbut once oil prices go up they will probably be more useful.

    that is assuming that oil is actually created by fossil decomposition. if the inorganic oil theories are right then it comes up out of the earth. if you look at the various forms of volcnic gas it is plausable

    not just oil sand, a few months ago there was news from shell Oil that they had worked out a technique to effectively extract from oil shale, which holds an assload of oil but previously was far too expensive to extract.

    search engines destroy rents, if you try to "sell" something either for money or ad views and you charge too much, either too much money or too many intrusive ads your customers will go looking elsewhere and find someting comparable at the right price.

    i don't think you understand, this new tool allows any large web community to weaponize their firefox users at the drop of a hat. if, for example microsoft succeeded in getting linux banned slashdot could retaliate by adding a ping list so every link someone clicks on slashdot would ping every known microsoft server.

    and that is the unintentional brilliance of the english language test. you see the gold farming companys will teach all their farmers english, then they are reasonably competant operating a computer and can communicate in english, they get a much better job and quit the sweatshop gold farm.

    over time this forces lethal competition among the gold farming houses, those that don't teach good english or any english will yield far less gold and items over time, those that do suffer from rapid turnover as word spreads that you can learn english by taking a job there then quitting once you are trained in enough english to get a job that offers some prestige.

    end result is far fewer gold farmers and a side effect of a bunch of former gold farmers getting nice jobs working as interpreters or possibly english teachers.

    you can use AIM to talk to a friend who plays the other side, set him/her up to be corpse camped for a few hours. with groups at the nearby graveyards and near the body.

    you can check something like that yourself with a multimeter, though if you didn't already know you could i wouldn't recommend trying it.

    in the US almost every house if not every house has 2 phase current for the 220 outlets powering heavy appliances such as washers, driers and dishwashers. Commercial and industrial facilities get 3 phase and get higher voltage connections used for heavy equipment.

    has code warrior gotten less buggy recently? a few years ago i used code warrior and it was awful. bloodshed's Dev-C++ was much better and i have been using it ever since.

    camino follows the MAc GUI guidelines, firefox runs on many platforms and so it has to somewhat create it's own rules since it can never follow all at once without being inconsistant across platforms. one of the greatest things about firefox is that it is almost exactly the same on any platform.
