    how does state farm intend to show a preponderance of evidence that the fire was the result of a defect in design or manufacture, rather than some sort of damage occurring later. 3-6 years is a lot of time to accumulate heat, impact, moisture, and power surge damage. the lack of significant reports of that model going samsung suggest that it was not an apple QC issue,

    it's not about more or less heat in the ground, it's about the speed of the seasonal changes, in particular in areas with a large number of installations that are not evenly distributed. maybe the difference is insignificant, maybe it is not insignificant, the question is, has it been evaluated at all.

    I'm not doing efficiency upgrades, my house is 100 years old and my heat+light bill never went above 175 over the winter, and it's often under 100 during mild weather. when the furnace craps out, I'll put in a reasonably efficient one, but I can save a lot more money and fuel by knocking down the thermostat and putting on a sweater than I can with fancy new equipment and ripping up my walls to install new insulation.

    accessing by accident is not impossible, if anything tor links are much less transparent than clearweb links. however the simplest of logging can differentiate the classes of visitors. anyone who loads "holyshitCP.onion" then leaves is probably not a pedo, anyone who starts browsing the image and video archives and downloading CP, is a pedo.

    Child porn is easier to get a solid conviction. you catch chester the molester with images and video and convict on possession.

    molestation and rape often does get a plea because you need the testimony of children who were raped,children are not the most reliable witnesses in terms of saying conflicting things that can help the defense, and asking them to recount what happened in court is less than ideal, so often the prosecution will give a plea deal that requires registration and a smaller jail term in order to balance protecting the community with compassion for the victims and the risk of a molester getting off scott free if the child panics and denies anything happened when questioned.
