    how about 10000 virtual 100khz CPU's, use up 1 ghz(+ overhead est 1.5ghz) worth of cycles and therefore making 10,000/hour, run it for three hours a day once a week.

    Can i run it on my TI86 and give it 100% CPU time, that'll prolly be about 3 messages per day (especially if i set the unit to runset that shit up to run in a virtual 33mhz environment so it is getting "100%" of 33 mhz, oh and give the virtual machine a TCP/carrier pidgeon connection

    well the USOC re a bunch of knob gobblers as well, they threatened the makers of "Legent of the five rings" for trademark because the wording for the USOC trademark is "five interlocking rings" the fact that the L5R logo was in a pentagon shape rther than a row of three and a row of two didn't matter, IT LOOKED NOTHING LIKE THE USOC trademark, ever since they pulled that crap i stopped caring about the olympics.... oh yea the corruption, bribes, and steroids don't help either

    The fact is that money moving into or out of a region means jack squat, if alot of money leaves the US economy then people get paid less and stuff costs less, money coms in than wages go up and so do prices, what is important is how fast the money circulates within a region. the faster money circulates the more times it is used to pay someone or to purchase goods, and therefore the biggest enemies are sales tax and income tax because the create drag in the circulation of wealth, even saving money doesn't hurt much because most banks lend out a good portion of what is deposited.

    Put grandma behind a NAT box and periodically stop in and update for stability, I have my parents behind a NAT and they don't have any issues with worms despite never patching when they should

    are you behind a NAT/Firewall/Switch, they protect against ***almost*** all remote exploits by making your computer unroutable from the outside "you can't get there from here"

    well EverQuest does not log anything for the user, your only way to log a conversation is with screen cap (numpad -), also the EULA specifically says that you consent to SOE logging anything going through their server.

    How about a system where one master server controls who gets what project on the cluster, if you use the cluster for mp3 encoding then you lose access to the cluster except for requesting manual approval of the cluster admin if you later have an actual project, just make the rules no mp3's and no re-encoding movies into XviD.

    Seems to me that any "low cost" mission to mars would be suicide seeing as it's still dangerous with expensive NASA tech, I sure wouldn't want to get on a ship for mars that only cost 3.5 billion, seeing as the U.S. has Bombers that cost 1 Billion and a bomber is far simpler than an interplanetary voyage.

    I don't know which headphones you use but i can hear my music much more clearly on my Phillips SBC-HS500 headphones (appx $15 at walmart i think) also the headphones that come with panasonic CD players (the ones with the translucent concentric circles in blue/grey/other) are clear as well, the problem is that people think that shitty sony earbuds represent portable audio well.

    What we need is a website with GPL replacements for all features granted by shitware apps that
    A)Have their own interface look enough like the shitware one that mose (l)users won't notice
    B) immunizes the mchine against further infestion by the shitware it replaces
