    if they have previously EOL'd multiplayer games and so it can be shown that it is their business practice to do so (rather than being forced to drop support due to unexpected economic conditions) then they committed fraud by selling a product with no intention of it remaining as advertised

    but there isn't really a way any developer can patch something like a lag switch.

    there damn well is, if the game uses an automated matchmaker the servers should be run by the company, this way a lag switch only accomplishes lagging yourself

    alternatively if the publisher continues to feel the need to rip off players by making them host their own games but giving them no control of the hosting or which server to connect to, monitor aggregate average lag and frequency of lag spikes compared to lag immediately before the host or their team makes kills, if your lag spikes (as reported by connected hosts) occur more often than they should you win a prize of a hardware and cc# perm. as well as zeroing of your stats, and disregard of stats accomplished by your clan mates on servers you hosted.

    this works even better if such bans are coordinated among a few publishers so as to drive cheaters right out of the gaming community

    enacting "laws" via states suing in federal court would be horrible public policy, it would create an (even more) unaccountable secondary legislature and signing committee made up of the states attorneys general and the SCOTUS

    this is not the way laws and rules are supposed to be made.

    I strongly agree with regulating CO2 emissions but it must be done in a constitutionally proper manner or the whole thing lacks legitimacy

    if anything they should do the opposite and launch a line of android blackberries, faster spec'd phones with the blackberry keyboard running android OS, also include some sort of open architecture TPM so IT departments can enforce data security with the new phones just like they can with blackberries.

    it is entirely and completely bad and serves no good purpose.

    whatever step you are using to "verify" the id passed by the URL is what should be tracking this in the first place, by passing an ID in the url you only open things up for some other coder working on a different section of the system to use that ID without realizing it is not authenticated. unique short lived tokens already make this a solved problem, especially if every page loaded gets a new token as well and is only valid for actions connected to that page

    it would be better to go with a nationalized healthcare system where doctors work for the government and do not need to bill their procedures at all, and they would not need malpractice insurance at all, as long term injuries caused by errors would be dealt with through the existing public benefits system and medical costs incurred due to errors would be moot since medical costs would not fall upon the patient in the first place.

    just not for a SHTF and especially a zombie SHTF there is plenty of 7.62x39 around and more of it is in robust packaging, like russian "spam" cans twin packed in wooden crates, instead of cardboard boxes in cardboard cases and maybe wrapped in plastic

    the AK will run all month even if it is abused, that's the point. at the range, or even in a war there is time for proper maintenance or at least a quick approximation thereof. when the dead are rising to eat your brains, taking your rifle apart when everything seems safe will likely be your death.
