I just recentally installed Fedora with out a problem. Every thing works great except my 3d card. I have installed WineX and am able to install games but they run slow due to the fact my card doesn't seem to be supported. I have had a good linux experience so far and hope to never have to use Windows again. I wish this guide would have been around before I got started to answer some of my questions. Escpecially on installing applications.
I hate this stuff, I'm glad I switched to Linux. I've had to completely wipe out pc's at work because of adware/spyware. Some program called "Hotbar" is the worst.
Higher speed limits haven't increased deaths because speeds have not increased significantly on the highways. People were already driving well over the posted limits even when we had 55 mph limits. The 55 mph speed limit law was probably the most disobeyed law in American history.
my apartment has a front door and that doesn't suprise me, but seriously...
I can't say that I'm shocked by this I'm sure they just wanted an easy way to help users with their hardware if the really screwed it up but it looks like Cisco has screwed up.
Well I say Linux in every where! I just installed Fedora, with out a hitch, and am excited to see how easy it has become (I tried once and failed greatly in '95 or so). Viruses? Well of course, but I can't imagine any thing like Windows OS has experienced. Before downloading the ISOs I installed W2k and less than 10 mins had a virus that was rebooting my pc. (blaster!) Right now the only "virus" I'm afraid of is when I am root.
I just want to know when they are going to stop forcing customers to pay 50 bucks to come install it on your pc and when they are too dumb to understand your OS (when w2k was new, I can't imagine the look on their face if your running Linux) and don't know how to renew an IP address and still charge you, man that pissed me off.
"if I move to Jackson, Little Rock, or Bowling Green, that my skills will be in higher demand?"
I just left Little Rock, AR. There are very few tech jobs in Arkansas. Most of them would be in North West AR around Fayetville. I tried for 3 months to find a job. I moved to TX and a week later had a job.
is where I used to live, it is probably the worst state, and moved to Dallas. Every other business here has "tech" or "net" or such in its name. Plano is covered with Tech companies including Microsoft, Intel, IBM. I don't see how TX could be 26th.
"while AOL said its customers in the area, who are connected to the BT network, would also experience problems." ...and they were so close to figuring out how to use internet...
I've been wanting this for so long. I hate paying for things I don't need.

*drum roll please* And the number one reason to Open Source use by the masses.....*ba da ching!* Users! If a user has trouble hitting "Ctrl-Alt-Del" to log in its gonna be a while untill they will be handed a new operating system.

It seems kind of risky to carry all of that in a backpack. Not only if you drop it, water spill, but for some one to steal.
just mostly froze up on me, I liked the way it was setup looks wise but don't enjoy it not working. I installed Fedora and not a single problem.
and plus I'm still waiting for my check from All-Advantage!
the software is free, how can you complain? Pay for it if you want X feature.

I hope it doesn't beep, that could get annoying real fast.

Frys is having a sale on XBOXs for 89.00 (refurbished). LIMITED QUANITY!!!
Game consoles are supposed to be simple, turn on - insert disc - play game. Sounds like you might as well just buy a computer.
