YEah! but live dangerously and buy cheap ram! if it's untested you might get a 1 gig chip for the price of a 256 meg one! If it lives only a month, what a great month that was!
I say!
Lets all take samples from our pets at home and send the data,,,that'll screw them up big time!
I can picture it!
Science doctor found that we have gecko dna and dies horribly after severing his arms just to see if it could grow back!
Norad is pointing laser and blinding un-authorized plane? How long till they blind a us air force pilot by mistake with a nuclear bomb attached to his plane,,,,that would be messy.
Man this is a sci-fi movie and it's Star Wars. Since when George Lucas did a movie with extreme violence or nudity? He has a hard time directing actors and creating good dialogue, imagine a sex scene or gratuous violence. And if it bothers the religious groups in the u.s WHO CARES!!!!
It seem to me that i read somewhere that hyperthreading will only work if the application or software is build to use it, and in other case will be totally useless.
What about bandwith fees and internet congestion?I'm notsure about this but the people who are going to watch t.v on the net, i just cant imagine the cost each month. cable= 30 to 40 $ a month 10 gig download 10$ each extra gig. plus the service for ip tv =x$$ I think it's going to cost a bundle of money to the unsuspecting heavy downloader, unless they either compress or lower the resolution so it doeant eat up all that maximum download.
there is only xp firewall by default,,i have disabled it.I fixed one of the two by un-checking the net secure in local area properties and also un-checking local area from the xp 'firewall's advance settings.
Even though it was turned off it seemed to block ping request.
I have installed sp2 on two laptop and since then, even withe firewall turned off, ican no longer ping the machines and cant remote in with either pc anywhere or Dameware.
But..we also have a bunch of laptop that came with xp sp2 and i have no problems with them.
You know! someone's poser is always another one's posers.
What do you think people think when they see someone that comes in when the preview are starting and he cant find a decent seat!
they say! What a loser he'll be seated (or not) right under the screen or on either left side or right side where 2d has an all new meaning.
i think i prefer to be the guy that comes in 4 hours in advance and get a decent seat for the premier of Star Wars than the LOSER who thinks he's the first to come in and annoys everyone because there is no more good seat left.
For sure cooling at cpu level is way better than room temperature but what if!!!i know it's an all together different game but a friend of mine tried cooling his own p.c. at home and he flooded his basement.
i prefer installing 4HP fan on the side of my computer....keeps the dust out too!:)hehehe
You dont have to have DNS poisonning to get redirected to another website or get altered search result. Download my web search,kazaa,e-donkey and those crapy software that gives you all those neat(sucky) tools for searching the web,,,,just see what the results are when you search for something and it gives you weird asnwers...
OH wait Internet explorer's search engine does the same thing,,forgot to put it in unwanted crapy search engine.
I dont think water is an option for cooling servers, water damage would be too costly at every level unless it can never spill out (never say never).Out of control air conditioning will what....lower the temperature under 10 degrees at the most unless you really miscalculated the B.T.U's of the machine itslef.
dont get me wrong we have sme of our software that are under citrix but not everything. It' easier to deploy when your company is spread out in different cities or state/province.But even with redundancy in place it still can be too much centralization.
It's cost effective, i'll give you that and you can work with low end machines and software upgrades or deployment is done in a flash, less staff, less money involved.
i worked in a company where we frequently lost the connectivity to the main server in Ontario (i was based in montreal) it was a call center,,,let me tell you that not having your computer for 4 hours and people calling to have resolution and you cant give it because the god damn server is down...doesnt make me feel incline to use the technology.
Yeah but when it crashes,,,you have (depending on the size of your company) ALL the users who cant work at all! I wouldnt want to be in the shoes of the I.T. department that have over 200 users that do nothing because their terminal server went down.
Open enough = "we have business hours and our front door is open between 8h30 and 4h00 " closed on weekends

A great philosopher said "framerate is life"
The only reason it's comming here is because it's cheaper and no U.S tv network wants it!
--I didnt vote to have it here, canadian should have a say about this crapy t.v. show.
--Long live farscape ans babylon5--
I'm canadian, so i'm un-american Does this make me a communist!? --something to think about--

Now Bill gates sounds pretty harmless when i read an article like that.
I think space should also be religion free just to give it more chance for everyone to get along up there.

That particular programmer who does what he wants and F%&&% the world type attitude is one poor programmer.
