I think somewhere I have versions 2. I can't remember is Microsoft wrote it--it was on another platform (Tandy Color COmputer II or III) which Microsoft supplied the OS for.
Ultimately, it would great to do that with a lot of stuff, and get the KDE team to work the GNOME team, and so forth. Using the same back end tools, but having a different front end to use the tools.
That is easy enough to discredit. We just say DiskZerver went forward without the support of the Open Source community. It is also a good example why it is important to follow through with the requirements in the GPL. Had the company (either the original or the company that bought it) released the code to the public, at least one person (the author of the submitted article), and possibly more, would could have worked on this to fix the problem, or problems. The copany would benefit from the work done by the Open Source Community and could enjoy the positive feed back/support they would get from the Open Source Community. I think we should promote this as an example why companies should work with the Open Source Community instead of against it! I hope the company does the right thing and opens the source code!
The beauty of this design is it can be both. A gui front end doesn't care what it calls. If it done with something like corba, the gui just looks for what is available and makes it available to the user.
You could package different stuff together for different tasks. The key would be that all of the tools would work together. In essence, it would be the ultimate integration. If done right, it could be easy to added your favorite scripting capability with your favorite script. I actually like this idea! It seems more *nix like--instead doing the same boring thing.
I will spell this out so you can understand it. I said most Arabs are to blame. I consider Arab American's just plain American's. Therefore, I don't count them in the Arabs I think are to blame because I think they are American, and as americans would also be upset at this attack. Also as Americans, I would think they would be mad at the lack of any real responce to terrorist attacks made by people that hide in these arab countries. Verbally condemning an attack is meanlingless--it's just showmenship with no real intensions of doing anything about the terrorists within the borders of their countries. Some of the Arab respounces were just to try and keep America from attacking them for funding, supporting, and/or housing Osama bin Laden (spelling).
Don't bother replying to my previous message because I not going to bother to read your posts any more. You obviously can't read very well. Your mind is more closed than mine was when I was angry at what happened.
I know my history, and I know about the Japanesee Americans. I didn't say put them in internment camps. I consider Arab Americans just plain Americans.
I live near Boston. They found a vehicle of five suspects with instructions on how to fly a plane in Arabic, and one of the terrorist forgot there bag, in it among the other items was a copy of the koran. This news has been known since yesterday afternoon (Tuesday afternoon) in the New England area.
I normal would just ignore this, but I feel I have to clarify myself for the completely clueless. I know I will get hit with negative moderation, but this still needs to be said.
You are forgetting one thing. The arab countries have been supporting each other--EVEN THE COUNTRIES THAT KNOWINGLY HARBOR TERROISTS! That is WHY I say any Arab that knows of terrorist activities before they happen and doesn't report them is guilty of that same action. The same applies to people of any race. Even now the people of Palestian are celebrating--dancing in the streets and everything! The Arab countries HAVE NOT MADE ANY REAL ATTEMPTS TO TAKE CARE OF THE TERRORISTS HIDING IN THEIR COUNTRIES! Do you understand that at all? That means they are supporting them at the most, and at the least, they are not against them. Forget what the leaders of these countries say. Actions speak louder than words, and the actions of the Arab countries to remove terrorist in their countries have been little or nothing. That is why I say the ARAB countries are to blame.
This would be the same for the US, Britian, India, Russia, China, Japan, etc. We arrest people we know are going to commit terrorist attacks--when we know they are going to do so.
By the fact that Palestian has NOT made any real attempts to bring in the terrorist who are bombing Isreal, Palestian is showing that they support such ativity and have no problems with it!!!
You obviously didn't read my whole post. I bet you stopped readding after I said the Arabs are to blame. I would feel the same way about any country or group of people--regaurdless or nationality, race, religion, or sex. Action speaks louder than words, and the Arab countryies have done nothing to slow, or stop, the terrorist attacks commited by terrorist organizations hiding in their countries! I really hope you get a clue. The facts are obvious. If this was a white group, such as the KKK, and one of their members knew about a racial crime that was about to be commited, you'd expect that if that person who knew before hand about the crime would inform the local athorites, and if this person didn't you would assume they are just as guilty as the person who actually committed the crime because they could have prevented it. You would beleive this even more if the person celebrated, or joked about, the crime.
You are the one who needs to wake up!
I know I am going to get hit big time with negative moderation, but this needs to be said.
Most Arabs ARE TO BLAME!!! NONE OF THE ARABS HAVE MADE ANY REAL ATTEMPTS TO BRING IN ISLAMIC EXTREMISTS OR ANY OTHER TERROSIT GROUPS. The ARABS have supported Palestian even thought they HAVE DONE NOTHING TO STOP THE BOMBING IN ISREAL!!!
IF AN ARAB KNOWS KEY INFORMATION (NAMES, LOCATIONS, ETC.) OF A TERRORIST (PERSON OR GROUP) AND DOES NOTHING, THEY ARE JUST AS GUILTY OF ANY ACTS OF TERRORISM THAT TERROSIT (PERSON OR GROUP) COMMITS BECAUSE THEY DID NOT SAY ANYTHING TO PREVENT IT.
This is why Palestian, and any other arab country that does nothing, is guilty of Terrorism!
Guilty by Association!!!!!
Navigating files can be easier in a GUI environment if there is something like a class browser. You simple click on the function you was to edit and the GUI editor goes there. Other wise you have to do some sort of search.
Charley Pride is a country artist. A lot of people listen to Charley Pride. Unlike some artist in other music types (such as crap I mean rap) Charley Pride can perform & sing.
As much as this disappoints me, I would rather see him (who is supposedly sending me a check sometime soon via the IRS refund) than Al Gore who'll probably just say the economy isn't slow and we need more taxes.
Send Bush a POLITE email letting him know you think this is a mistake. I already did. I mentioned the DMCA. If enough people send him email about it, his staff might actually bring it up! With the number of slashdot users here, we should be able to get his attention. The presidential email is: "president@whitehouse.gov". You'll get the standard reply, but we are going for the quantity of users here talking about the same 2 issues (DMCA and Spliting up Microsoft).
Either you don't work in the real world, or you have no deadlines. I think a lot of software is "designed bad" for because doing a complete and thorough design which is good, neat, and handles 99% of the problems takes way too much time to fall within the time frame of the usual project. I usually have more than one project going at a time I am lucky if I can afford to work on them for a whole day.
Designing "good software" just is not practicle outside the glass house world of education environment. It takes too much time to meet the time requirements of most projects.
Then everybody can easily build a database that tracks all of your information. Think about it. You'd use it to send letter via snail mail, or pay bills. SPAMers would instantly be able to SPAM you in a variety of ways. I don't like the idea to much possibility for problems.
I think the first think we send to mars sould be robots with limited programming. The design should be cheap so we could send more than 1, and we should get the stupid project right. Somebody should insure those people at nasa have a good calculator.
Once we get the robots there, we start to terra-form the planet. First we start drilling down into the ground till we hit magma. If we don't find magma, but instead find that Mars is solid, then terra-forming Mars will be a lot harder because there would be no heat to drive currents of water and air. (About water currents and especially the deep water currents). Plus, volcanic action is needed to replace the CO2 through the CO2 cycle. Basically, CO2 disolves in the oceans, volcanic action replaces that CO2 that was disolved.
Anyways, my point is I don't want to thik about send people, or animals, to Mars till we know more about the planet. We also need to find methods to solve the various problems such as (but not limited to) the loss of bone mass that would happen eventually causing the teeth to fall out. We still need a lot more information before we start test animals in "Mars Gravity"
My brother and I used to have the original space lego. We had an old door in our parents appartment on stands and had it covered in a complete base of our own design. We even had the moon base plates. It would usually take us a couple of minutes to build what ever the picture on the box was--we didn't bother with instructions because who needs them (lego instructions are for whimps). Then we would go about creating our own stuff which was usually better. We found some ingenious uses for some of the legos. we even build a small monorail system on our moon base (before Lego decided to acutual make a part for a monorail).
I wish they would bring back the original space Lego's. They were fun to play with. My parents still have them. I think all kids should play with Legos--especially space Legos. It helps them in many ways. It stimulates imagination, creativity, and much more!
That's why I am glad it is IBM promoting Linux to these people and not someone else. They have a reputation to protect. I also don't think Microsoft will need to say a things because this is the kind of thing where you can have enough rope to hang yourself. I just hope Linux holds up to the challenge!
The President said we are at war. Until Congress officialls declares us at war, we are not officially at war. So technically we are not at war yet.

What you say is guaranteed, but not how you use a product.

The Office part could simply be a prebundled pack of certain types of these tools with the ability to add more. A simple gui front end.
The beauty of this design is it can be both. A gui front end doesn't care what it calls. If it done with something like corba, the gui just looks for what is available and makes it available to the user.

You are forgetting the flight simulators and arcade games embeded into MS Office as easter eggs.

I said Arabs. I didn't say ARAB Americans. Their is a difference.
I know my history, and I know about the Japanesee Americans. I didn't say put them in internment camps. I consider Arab Americans just plain Americans.

Some of those inocent Arabs were and still are sleeper cells for terrorists such as OBL.

China DOESN'T have the ability to do this. There are only a few organizations that have the ability to do this.
