Advertising to people who work on video games, presumably targeting people who make purchasing decisions for their studios. Those people aren't necessarily gamers.
Good luck finding a laserdisc in good working order.
LD players are very easy to get in working order. You can get a lower-grade player for pretty cheap, and even nice-quality ones are in good supply. Heck, the last model (a middling-quality DVD/LD combo player) was still being made until just a few years ago.
He's entitled to his opinion and he's entitled to spend the money he has earned as he sees fit.
The issue gets a lot more thorny when you remember that he's the CEO of the foundation and is now the ultimate authority on employee benefits. I've already seen people express concern that their top-level boss, or potential boss, thinks they should not be able to get married and has put forward money to try to make it that way.
You can buy the Nexus 4 straight from Google for basically the American list, no contract required. Wind has some nice no-contract plans if you're in a part of the country they cover.
Definitely had the same experience. I just bought Morrowind, which is 10 years old now, partly on the strength of the huge numbers of amazing mods available.
Have you been paying attention to Day Z? It's a mod for Arma II, a 2-year-old game - which became so popular, it's pushed Arma II to the top of the Steam best-seller list for months on end. Mods make money by expanding the sales curve, or even bringing an old game back to the best-seller lists years later.
In Canada, the Prime Minister isn't directly elected, but is the position given to the leader of the party with the most seats in Parliament. So far from not mattering, Canadian party leadership elections determine who may be the prime minister.
If you're looking for 5.25" floppies, you should probably look into a versatile USB controller like the Kryoflux; that way you're not tied to particular motherboards, and you get a lot more versatility over what kinds of floppies and drives you can read.
3.6.x has been known for generally being more stable and using less RAM than the modern Firefox 10...
I actually don't agree with your premise. While Firefox had some issues around version 4, Firefox 10 is actually faster and more stable than Firefox 3.6 was, and RAM usage is on a downward trend. I understand that Firefox ~4 turned you off because I was really irritated by the regressions that came around that time, but things *did* get better. If you give it another try and make sure you give it a fair shake without already having decided it's worse, I think you'll find it's actually an improvement over what you're using right now.
It's not like Firefox 3.6 was a speed demon in its day either... Firefox's memory hog problems go back way further than that.
Traditionally, and still often the case, a lot of universities' cash comes from patrons. Prior to 1900 a lot of patrons expected control over the universities' curriculum as a result, so it wasn't uncommon for patrons to demand that a professor be fired if they were performing research the patrons considered counter to their interests; tenure was introduced as a policy to ensure that no patrons would expect to have that kind of control.
Glad you backed them up. Floppies have a pretty short lifespan! Worries me when I see people keeping around old floppies assuming they'll be able to get the data off them later when they eventually want to.
There were a couple of PSP-only sequels, and we only got one of them. I suppose that made sense for Japan, but it didn't do anything to help the series over here...
Just FYI, while I broadly agree with you (35mm and 70mm are high resolution sources), Ken's site is not particularly reliable. He freely admits to making crap up and writes more for fun than as an unbiased, factual source of information. I wouldn't link to him for facts.

As Gamasutra was no longer a site targeted at that demographic they decided not to waste the money advertising to people who aren't there.
Gamasutra is an industry site. It was *never* targeted at the gaming demographic to begin with
OS X provides bash preinstalled and as the login shell (since 10.4). /bin/sh is provided by bash.

The only (IIRC) UE4 game publicly known to be in development from Epic is Fortnite, a survival sandbox game that sounds kinda like Sourceforts.
Would you have supported the bakery if they denied the couple due to race?

Just a reminder that it's perfectly possible to like food and walking and also be an introvert.
"The language is as good as the developer using it" is a faulty argument. Read PHP: A Fractal of Bad Design for a good rebuttal.
OpenSSL is certified (entry 1747 on that page, "OpenSSL FIPS Object Module"), and they ship a FIPS-specific tool.

THANK you. That's going to make closing/reopening Firefox a lot nicer.
You're aware that Chrome automatically, silently updates, right?
TenFourFox may be unofficial, but I've been really impressed with its quality and the developer's dedication to fixing issues.

Have you seen Homebrew? for Mac OS X? It adopts a pretty similar concept, within the Unix hierarchy.
